Mark Pope to UK…looks like it’s becoming a reality
I told my UK buddy on Tuesday it will be pope. Good thing I’m not at work I might get stabbed.

It’ll be Pope
Pope is different like Drew is. Hes a god first guy. He might not be a fit either as strange as that sounds. Mormon at a Mormon school. I know if and when BD turns it down(he may not even be offered) they will be deep in tier 2-3 territory.

UK fans finding out that women will be the downfall of UK basketball. Kelly Craft, Kelly Drew, crystal oats all control their destiny.
UK fans have now formed a new No MA’AM chapter. President AL Bundy.

We know uk will get a coach eventually. The problem is the longer it goes the more it eats into uk fan's psychey. How can anyone say no to them?
We also know once they hire someone their fans will declare it the best choice; their real first choice; and the savior. It's too predictable.
Hurley has now said no.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it isn't Oates. I know he’s said he’s not interested, but I’m sure he could be convinced now that Hurley and Drew have said no.
Won’t be. Alabama donors gave him NIL. UK for some reason doesn’t actually have the NIL many thought. That stuff gets around. It’s still a lot but IU has more. Insane isn’t it.

Scott Drew turns down Kentucky….who’s next on the list…Nate Oates, Chris Beard, Bruce Pearl?
They are throwing the who bag to Hurley. He will say no. Mitch does not like Pearl or Beard. Pope is like Drew in a way off the court. Going to get a rude awakening. Plus their NIL isn’t as rich as many thought. IU actually has more.

you never know. you can play 2 PG'S at the same time.
Won’t happen. I bet oats will be all over him.

Sounds like they went to see Drew, but he didn’t come to Lexington?
On Wednesday morning, a plane belonging to JC Land LLC — a company owned by Joe Craft, according to business records with the Kentucky Secretary of State — flew to the Waco area. The aircraft was headed back to Lexington later Wednesday morning and scheduled to land around noon. Craft is UK Athletics’ biggest booster and a major donor to the university.

Probably offered, talked but Drew has deep ties to Baylor. Wife is an introvert. Kids are in school and only know Waco. This is not a slam dunk imho. I predicted they will whiff on their top 3 choices. We will see.

$11 million/7 years was to Hurley, seems like Rupp Rafters believes Drew’s contract will be around $7 million per year
No way he goes to UK for 2 mill more than he’s making. Imho

Well…I had no idea Mitch m(AD) of UK is friends with Drew. He just slung a 11 million 7 year deal to him. You never..ever ever hire friends like that. Sounds like he’s the only one offered.

You can save a lot of souls with the pay that UK is throwing around.
He incorporates his secular beliefs in his curriculum. It’s who he is. It’s not about just the money. Not sure how much that jives with administrations.

Drew is one they have a legit shot with. Baylor is only mid-pack in the B12 in terms of endowment and Waco is out in the middle of bumf**k nowhere. He'd have a lot more resources at his disposal and he'd be closer to home.
Drew is the least likely imho. Hes so entrenched in Baylor Christian principles. Some would say he’s a fanatical. (Faith healing, speak in tongues etc). He’s exactly at the place he fits in my opinion. He wants his players saved first before basketball. Is it a bad thing? Just not a fit at a lot of public universities.

Their best choice would be Mark Pope. Take that program in a whole different direction than the Calimari drama. Not sure he'd leave BYU, though.
He would run to UK.

I seen some think they have a legit shot at Hurley. Stranger things have happened, but I just don't see it. I've also heard from down here that Oats has told them no at least twice.
I’ve got a bet with a coworker that UK won’t get oats, Hurley or Drew. Also bet him IU will have a better record.

I’d argue they proved it against everyone minus UConn. UConn was just on another level. They held up fine against a solid Tennessee defense.
NC state got every shot they wanted. Just couldn’t hit them. Purdue had the same problem with UConn. Stopped you cold on D too.

Edey is tired. UConn doing what UConn does.

Dead period. Can they do that?
Recruits not current players. The dead period from my understanding is only a no in person contact period. They can still talk just not face to face.

FYI. MAX has the games in 4K. Great picture.
