I thought this was a thread about Sisley
Sisley is from an IU family and wants to commit….but something or someone….has them concerned?

Respectfully asking, what makes your men's basketball elite?
Like RMK and game face…..I’ve never once thought about being elite
As a CUB fan when everyone jumped on the bandwagon it ruined it
Sure miss the $10 bleacher seats, Steve Stone and no W flags on FB every single day 😳
Now $10 won’t cover the F you fees on every ticket
rant over…go Reds

I have a hard time believing he'll do two years in a row.
You never like to hear about a bad surgery result….
Hard to imagine not playing basketball at that age for multiple years…

Edey vs. Tshiebwe isn't a very good comparison IMO. Edey falls into the once in lifetime type of players. His production and dominance of the paint area is something that hasn't been seen in sometime. His numbers speak for itself. I agree every time any program gets a tweener (NBA vs. college) talent like TJD that stays longer than most it's a real boost. Edey to me was an exception. I wonder if he hit the NIL free market what he would had been offered for his covid year?
I think it came down to comfort & happiness….Zach knew he enjoyed college and was improving every day
Riding a bus around the G league compared to Big Ten basketball….
Hard to imagine regretting your senior year….I'm sure TJD doesn’t either

What do you think happened?
Rick Ray went to Clemson because Purdue was too cheap
MP played chicken and won

Purdue had an unique situation with Edey staying so long and being so dominant. I think we'll know more about how Purdue decides to build their program in the next two off seasons. Any philosophy works when you have a 25 pt and 12 rebs a game guy controlling the paint.
Obviously there will be a drop off this year at Purdue. How much and how that effects their approach is to be seen.
You saw the answer….
Worst loss in NCAA history and MP took the blame and went back to work with his guys.
DGL decomitted so MP got the 300th best portal player to add PG depthMP won’t sell his soul…..

I think we have enough guards if Newton is healthy. I think a stretch 4 that can shoot and play 10-12 mins would be the goal….shooting doesn’t have to be in the shape of a guard when there is so little minutes there. A true back up 5 that can give you energy off the bench would be the other. Not sure there are guard minutes there unless Newton redshirts again. Maybe there is a grad transfer with Indiana ties that would like to round out the team.
Find your Lance Jones….a kid who dreams of playing in the NCAA at a big time school
Or heaven forbid a graduate who wants to go to grad school at a world class university
CMW and his minions must have connections to other coaches to find these players

After all Rice was 1st team All PAC as a point guard. As a freshman none the less. This obsession with 3point shooting clouds things?
Defense & turnovers are more important

I don't believe he did. He announced pretty quick that he was coming back. No need to go through the process if you know you're not ready.
It’s a crappy draft…why not meet & greet get up some jumpers
He could go Supernova this year.
Big Ten leading scorer
O/U 18.5

IU picked up a crystal ball already. We will see.
That’s the rumor I am hearing
Go to IU and start grad school….with Illinois degree 📜
If he goes to IU and forgets how to shoot then you know the curse is real

With little to show for it. Imo if you have a talented freshman it’s getting that second year out of them imo that’s key. Like imagine last year with JHS running the point with pick n roll with Ware. Imagine Romeo a couple years ago coming back and playing with Trayce. Its stacking classes that makes the difference. So hopefully Mgbako has a huge year.
Also…not all 5* are created equal…from position to position and also from year to year some classes and guys are more difference makers.
💯
Purdue & IU coaches thought they would have Ivey & JHS at least another year maybe two
Did MM go through draft process to get feedback? Actually like it when guys do this….better than listening to “handlers” or coaches . Plus as a competitor why not see where you stack up?- 1

Luke Goode in the portal.
When he walked at senior day it seemed odd
Big wing who can shoot….will have plenty of suitors
Guessing he has a good idea of where he wants to go of he wouldn’t enter portal

Hell I didn’t even know that. 😂
JHS, Ware, Reneau, MM and Tucker, right?
It just goes to show you that those rankings are a joke beyond the top 20-30 players
I think they count Ballo as the highest rated transferMR just missed 5 star ?

Exactly. Meaning that even if there isn’t an Indiana kid on the market now, there might be in a few weeks let alone next offseason.
💯 👍
not sure how long MP can continue high school only recruiting

Class size factors in.
In the last 3 years there have been 9 five star players enter the Big Ten…..IU has 5 of them

To be fair, same thing can be said about Woodson. If he didn't play at IU and so forth. He was on zero coaching search list this off season and has yet to win a game with his portal all star team.
Im curious to see if Dusty can lift that program and how quickly. He put FAU on the map for a brief moment but the B1G wont be so nice to him as he is likely aware.
I hope he is largely successful and that he only “crashes and burns” when playing IU.
CMW this time last year was leaving a scholarship open….which if filled might have meant multiple wins IMHO
He was still hockey subbing entire lines and angrily defending it to the press until it magically went away
If he strikes out on Sisley & Mullins…. next year will be the first IU team ever without an Indiana kid ?

Sucks having a level playing field, doesn't it Lil'Jimmy?
💯 hilarious watching shoe cheaters struggle a bit. Sadly KU has figured it out.
Who are the NIL leaders in basketball?
You guys have to be close

Already happening all the best players of these small rural schools are transferring to schools like Floyd Central... I get it... i would have to.. but schools like South Central and Crawford Cty will be plucked ... some schools have a planetarium, some schools have their planetarium in their backyards.
Back in the day you redrew the school district in Marion or got the parents a job near Lafayette Jeff
