Since our last Super Bowl win. If we don't hit on Caleb I'm just going to accept we will never have a QB.  Probably at least 50 listed if not more. Sadly I can remember each and everyone of them.

I will say this to my Bears brethren or others as well....has a #1 draft pick walked into a situation with as much talent ready to go as Caleb/Bears? Usually teams draft the QB and add talent over the coming years. Bears are taking the opposite approach. Stack talent and welcome the QB.

I think the Patriots are in order for similar tonight. Do they trade back and build the talent to get their QB in a couple of years or?

I hear ya, but can't feel overly sorry for Cubs Nation.

    • Matt McLain
    • TJ Friedl
    • Noelvi Marte

That's one-third of the Reds regular 9 that have not seen a minute yet this year.  Throw in that Encarnacion, Cendelario, Fraley, and India have all missed multiple games at some point, and the Reds lineup has been patchwork all year.

De La Cruz, Spencer Steer, Will Benson, and the two Catchers are the only projected regular contributors that have stayed healthy.

I'm not that familiar with the Reds. Are McLain, TJ, and Noelvi your 2,3, and 4 hitters?

They are asking taxpayers to pay half I believe…not sure that will fly. I am glad to get rid of the UFO toilet stadium whatever they end up doing.

I read that ownership is paying $2 billion, a $300 million loan from the NFL, and $900 million comes from the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority (i.e. taxpayers)...The Bears are saying they'll pay 72%...

I'm still diving into the numbers. Actually the first renovation of Soldier Field is still short $594M that I guess just gets rolled into this debt? Finances aside which has always been a joke in Illinois I'll say this.

Stadium looks awesome. Increased Capacity by at least 15k to meet F4 requirements. Love the open end facing the city for early season games. Concerns are this. Parking was already at a premium (costs a $100 to park next to stadium) so with construction and location they basically eliminated at least 50% of the tailgating area. Warren says he wants opened by 2028. Pretty aggressive timeline.

Hope all of this works. Will bring the Bears from an optics standpoint into the 21st century and will bring Chicago a wealth of opportunities to finally host national events like Indy.

Pacers game blacked out in Indy when the game is in Milwaukee? What the heck is that about?

I'd love to know the answer to this as well. Is it because game was on NBATV and not ESPN, TNT,etc....?

I get tired enough of chasing MLB and their blackout plans. Not doing it for the NBA.

Absolutely no surprise we lost another RB.

I haven't dialed in yet because of focus on hoops but here's where I'm at with Coach Cignetti. If he needs to send kids packing or whatever you want to call it so be it. I mean no disrespect to CTA and his time but if CC needs to ship dead wood so be it.

We can argue about it til the cows come home, but in my eyes, it was nothing more than another thing to criticize Woodson about...

A 13th kid on the roster, especially one that we could have gotten in the time frame that we had, wasn't going to make a difference to our season...

All day long. Just glad the cooler heads approach i.e. emotional intelligence is prevailing. Gave the man a chance to correct some things and so far nobody has improved their roster more than IU has this offseason.

Of course I know what comments are coming on the last sentence.

  7. Aaron Boone is eventually going to die in the dugout. Gets tossed today early by home plate ump. Problem was Boone didn't say anything. You can see the guy in a blue polo shirt in first row yelling something to the ump and the ump thought it was Boone.

Knew he was headed that way for sure....but the real interesting one now is Goode. Been told all year he was gone but now seems to be some changes. Fun few more weeks to settle things out.

An update on the update. I was told in December he was leaving. Last couple of weeks had been some bumps but again there was a reason he walked on graduation night.

Exactly, perfectly avoidable issue they could have solved in the off-season. These are the types of games that will really hurt at the end of the season if they are a game or two out of a playoff spot or a higher playoff seed.

And I'll add with guys at 2nd and 3rd with 1 one out why Bellinger didn't get a shot there?

Cubs need to get a closer. Just gave up 2 run homer with 1 out in top of ninth...now down 3-2.

Another blown save. I think it makes 3 or 4...but Jed said nobody makes deals in April or May. What an idiot. Costing this team a phenomenal start considering the schedule.

I’ve still got the autographs I accumulated as a kid/teenager. Among the more notable: Cal Ripken, Wayne Gretzky, Jeff Gordon, Tiger Woods.

The crown jewel is actually from my dad: a baseball signed by the majority of the 1959 White Sox, including HOF 2B Nellie Fox on the sweet spot. Fox died in 1975 at the age of 47, so his is a somewhat rare signature to find. The other 3 HOFers also signed the ball (Luis Aparicio, Al Lopez, Early Wynn).

I’ve turned down a 5 figure offer for that ball, as is, with no authentication. What it represents is priceless.

My Dad's favorite team ever was the 59 White Sox. He's got a ball from that team as well but it's so dirty/smudged you can't make out the names anymore.

Really cool story. Thanks for sharing!
