5 straight for the Cubbies! Love to see them take down the Dodgers. 5-2 overall on year.
Just now, IUFLA said:Kinda stopped my heart with that last liner by Outman (what a name for a hitter), but I don't mind close games...Just win!
I thought Outman's was in.....phew. The Dodgers are stacked so any win vs them won't be treated like 1 of 162 games.
What the early stuff is showing me is we have 5-6 very patient hitters who will wait for the chance to smash....and Lt Dan just keeps moving up my favorite player list.

Knew he was headed that way for sure....but the real interesting one now is Goode. Been told all year he was gone but now seems to be some changes. Fun few more weeks to settle things out.

Where does Perkins factor in, if at all?
I'm a big Tony Perkins fan, and while I know some look simply at the 3 point numbers, Tony brings 3 things we sorely lacked last year...Experience, leadership, and toughness...
Can't overlook intangibles when we're rating these kids...
I'll take any or all of them. Love Tony Perkins as well. The good news is we are headed in right direction for sure and despite the world ending stuff....it seems our staff sits in a good spot with recruits.

Guess I'll throw it in here. Was on the phone with a client just outside of NYC about 15 minutes ago and apparently they had an earthquake near NYC?

Tucker, Rice, and Carlyle would be about as good a start as you could hope for this offseason. Pepper in Hickman, another shooter....and a profile like Amari along with everyone coming back this team could get good really fast.
Hopefully all this happens but the momentum is hard to ignore.

Seems like he's about the 3rd or 4th player and or Coach this year to single him out and identify his development/NBA ready mind/body.
As unbiased as an opinion as it gets.

Hey everyone! My wife and i are finally moving back from Florida to the Indianapolis area. We are going to be new at doing a lot of the maintenance of the lawn ourselves, and we are looking for reliable contractors, plumbers, roofers, (insert anything you could think of). We just would love to compile a list of people who do business the right way. I appreciate any insights you can offer!
Good luck with your move and welcome back to Indy! When you get settled in and have specific projects I might be able to point you in right direction.

Steve McMichael hospitalized again for his ALS. Not a Bears fan, but it makes me sad.
Walter's son said it was UTI....will be headed home tonight thankfully.

Interesting sorta development. Marcus Domask is petitioning the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility. If I'm reading correctly it's because 4-5 games he wouldn't have played in a couple years ago so he would have been granted the eligibility if the games weren't cancelled.
Interesting one to follow.

I have way too much time on my hands sitting in my home office finishing up my monthly billing. It’s like sitting on the toilet, way too much time to think. I keep seeing all these players that we’re in contact with, and I asked myself, how do we have more than 10 players next year if we don’t look to sign at least a couple of developmental guys? These portal players are looking for minutes, not mop-up minutes. Three high volume starting guards aren’t coming here at once from the portal. That’s just not realistic. Gallo is getting minutes. We have X minutes to give, and I suppose we have Ware minutes, but those aren’t going to a 6’2 guard. It seems to me that we must have a big from the portal maybe two, and two starter quality guards, then developmental guys willing to wait for minutes. I just don’t see the possibility of multiple guards coming.
Just my two cent opinion. I think we have to be careful in the who we go for in this portal while keeping an eye on 25 class. We don't want to get a guy with 2-3 years eligibility (unless of course he's really frickin good which means he's going pro sooner) because that might sway the 25 kids (Haralson, Sisley,etc...).
Delicate balance for sure but I'd be fine hammering the 1 year guys this year knowing full well what we could offer to 25 recruits.

That's almost irrelevant. He knew Dusty was hired before he chose K-State. Now if Dusty chose not to try to retain him that's another story...
If I were guessing it's the latter. Just based on the very, very limited intel on Dusty.

Dug (Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel, please) had academic issues at MI. That's why he was on the travel suspension. Probably not the same issue at K State.
Yep...plenty of schools though with lesser academic requirements that I thought he would land. Oh well hope the kid does well finally.

Thing I don’t understand is if Dusty is such a home run hire why are all the players abandoning ship? Afraid they’re going to get coach Primed?
Just like with most new hires I'm going to say there's plenty of I didn't commit to you stuff. Won't have a real feel for Michigan for another year or 2.

For context. Diggs is 31 and Keenan Allen is 32. Allen had more production across the board in 4 less games and the Bears paid a 4th while Houston is giving a 2nd and some other stuff. Plus the biggest thing is the drama. One has it one doesn't .
Texans wanted Allen first which is why I understand they paid more for Diggs.

I thought Houston got a steal.
Houston gets Diggs, 2024 6th round, 2025 5th round
Bills gets 2025 2nd round pick
With average salary of around $19M...not bad if he gets the head on.
-
Weird one for sure because the Texans WR core is already so good. Given Diggs trouble in Minny and Buffalo I'm not sure I'd want that in my lockerroom....but no denying his talent. If he keeps his head on straight Houston could and will be very, very dangerous.
One other thing though. I know some will say addition by subtraction...but Buffalo and Josh Allen. That window is closing rapidly if not already there. They better have a plan to find some talent on the outside because they've already asked the world of Allen now this.

Insane they are hosting recruits while preparing for a final four game.
If I were their staff I'd welcome with open arms as many kids as possible before I hopped on the bird West. They will more than likely never be in this position again under his watch.

Can someone give me the cliff notes on the rigged talk lately? Wasn't sure where this all started.
In terms of the tourney though I'm not discounting Bama or NC State at all....but I'd love to watch Hurley go Mount St Helens in a game where he watched in person what Edey either gets away with or how his games are called.
Steratore came as close to anyone this past weekend when he chuckled that Edey had zero fouls with 16 minutes to go.
-
So if Purdue loses to NC State I'm assuming they would be only team in history of tournament to lose to 4 straight double digit seeds?

With the line of storms passing through the midwest, hope everyone stays safe out there.
Just starting our round 2 here in Indy. Was 70 this morning and by 9 tonight it's supposed be 40...just hoping we avoid the tornado talk.

So we keep in line with the thread topic. I like gardening. I hope I have Powerball numbers that hit. I also buy thin mints or peanut butter cookies from girl scouts....additionally I'm an 80 or so golfer and today I saved .50cents a gallon on gas with my Kroger card.
Thanks again to those posters who can't keep their stuff in the appropriate threads. I've now joined your tribe since it's not being managed.

Anyone ever eat at Edinburgh Diner? Have to head the Ville next week and I've been wanting to try their world famous Tenderloin. Just curious if it's as good as the reviews/photos look?
