I haven't seen Loyer play much, but my comp would be a slightly shorter (6' vs 6'2 atm) more athletic Bryant McIntosh (from Greensburg played at NW). Winning IN HS players/leaders at good size schools (3A/4A) with vision and shooting. Smith led team in rebounds as freshman IIRC so he plays with tenacity that is evident when you watch him. Sounds odd timeline-wise. Yesterday he personally says they've decided to stop playing it after consulting with Silver, but not the Mavericks officially. They haven't played it all year up to this point. Did he consult with Silver before the season, before he made the announcement, or some other time? Cuban on Tuesday told ESPN that he had made the decision to stop playing the national anthem before home games after consulting with NBA commissioner Adam Silver. The Mavericks did not announce the change in policy, but the national anthem has not been played before any of their 13 preseason and regular-season games at the American Airlines Center this season.

Any news on this guy? Not much chatter for a top 21 in 22 kid.

Partially agree. Really would need to move up to top 3 in the conference before I'd think they're headed to the 2nd round. Do you see them beating whoever finishes lowest of PHI, MIL, BKN, or BOS if they're a 4/5 seed? I don't.

He's "only" 101 in 247 composite, so while a 4* good get for IU, not sure there should be expectations of dominance as a HS junior on a team with other talented players.

Sounds good to me. It would be nice for IU to have a 7 footer "project" like Turdue for once. Not so much of a project like Tijan or April, but a kid like this that committed to our current asst coach at UConn and had an offer from U of AZ.

Can't find much on this kid even though he's a 4*. Odd.

If you ask me, he most resembles TG on our current roster. Both parents played college ball and coach now. Makes up for (perceived) lack of athleticism with toughness and basketball IQ. Winning player. TG is seeing the court sooner than his rank suggested he should. I could see the same happening for BS if we were to offer and land him.
