From all accounts he had a really productive redshirt year. Bulked up and worked on a lot of stuff. His shot is super smooth. Team defense will look a lot better once EHJ is back. He’s our best on-ball defender.

What surprised you about Newman?

I didn’t think we’d win the series but it’s inexcusable to get swept. The Heat are good but not THAT good IMO. We got outplayed by guys like Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, and a past-his-prime Goran Dragic. McMillan doesn’t seem like he’s the answer. Very mediocre in his career.

I know we’re missing Sabonis but we shouldn’t be struggling like this against the Heat. Not a McMillan fan.
