About what I expected tbh.

Like I said in the earlier post, I do think overall we got a favorable whistle. Just thought that was a big moment to miss what seemed to be an obvious over and back.

Going into the season, only playing NW once was probably viewed as a negative. Things obviously have changed since then. We have Iowa, Illinois, and Rutgers on the road though and don’t get a chance for redemption at home.

That’s a pretty big and obvious one to miss. But we did benefit from some calls that aren’t typical on the road that’s true.

Maryland hit a lot more 3’s and we were ice cold to start the 2nd half. Maryland’s lack of a legit big guy hurts them.

Williams was in foul trouble all game which hurt. Newman was unreal today. Easily our best player.

I know I’m biased but Furst is that good IMO. One bad game against Duncomb doesn’t change that. UVA wanted both Furst and Kaufman. 2021 class for the state is pretty solid. 2022 looks to be a bit worse.

Didn’t want to create a separate thread for this so figured I’d share it here. Unfortunately Caleb Swanigan was arrested in Fort Wayne for drug-paraphernalia charges. He’s put on a lot of weight (416 lbs) and it’s extremely sad. It sounds like him and Barnes had a falling out and Caleb has been struggling. His time at Purdue and before that living with Barnes was really the only time he had structure in his life. I hope he gets things turned around especially with what he went through in his childhood.

Oh no doubt. But if you would’ve told me before the game started that we’d hold Iowa right 70, I’d have felt pretty good about our chances you know?

That Stefanovic pass was one of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t screw that up who knows how the game ends.

Yep they won last night but just beat St Joes (with ND signee JR Konienczy) tonight.
