That team was playing as well as anyone in the country. Of course we’ll never know what would’ve happened but they were certainly good enough to make it that far.

This team is still significantly ahead of where they likely should be at this point. Losing Stefanovich to Covid didn’t help. Bright figure ahead.

I will always hate that place. Ruined a final four team when Hummel got hurt in that dump.

How are a step-back 3 and a banked in one even remotely comparable? Lol. The banked-in one was going to miss by 5 feet lol.

Man that takes me back haha. Forgot about Brian Butch. This is simply the nature of the league this year. We came out on top of the MSU/OSU games but fell short against Maryland and Minny. If you lose on a banked three you move on and do better next time. Our overall schedule is among the easier ones but our easiest game (Nebraska at home) got postponed for COVID so hopefully we can play it.

Of course we lose on a garbage banked-in 3. Wow

Gelen’s was up and down at Purdue. Had some good moments and had a decent career overall. He played in the AAF until it got shut down and now I have no idea what he’s up to. Rondale I could see late first or early second. He just had a 42 inch vertical the other day and will test off the charts. Agree re Bell!

We have an early start time today like you guys did yesterday. I’d def prefer a 5:00 start over 9:00 but 5:00 seems really early lol.

My hope is IU doesn’t land a guy from Gary lol. I’m guessing Purdue’s going to come at from multiple angles. Assuming they land their 3rd commitment fairly soon (have been recent Purdue crystal ball picks which sounds promising) I’m guessing they’ll possibly put the full-court press on him for that last scholarship.

I could be wrong but I still think he matters a lot there. His kid blew up late and Michigan got in early. I think even Beilein admitted he was surprised at the improvement haha. Maybe his kid didn’t want to follow in his footsteps either? Impossible act to follow lol.

I know Purdue really likes the position they’re in right now. MSU will always be tough but I think he’s a legit possibility. He wears #13 and is from Gary (granted so did Branden Dawson but Dawson and Washington are very different players/people). Big Dog still means a lot up there IMO.

Agree to disagree. Edey drew several fouls and played more tonight than normal with Tre’s foul trouble. Don’t think it was too one-sided but obviously I’m biased. That 5 second call against us late wasn’t even close to 5 seconds. He blew his whistle as soon as he counted 4 lol.

They shot a ton of 3’s and 12 of our free throws were at the end when NW had to foul. Take away those 6 fouls of theirs at the end and it’s pretty comparable both in fouls and FT’s between both teams. Don’t think NW has much to complain about re the whistle tonight IMO.

Certainly possible. I’d peg Wheeler as the most likely. He should have his degree and could see him go somewhere he can get more minutes.
