  1. The argument was that when he’s more than 3 feet from the basket, he can’t shoot or get offensive rebounds which are both false. He can absolutely do both (and does them well). I think it’s both the size and skill. How many guys his size have the coordination, touch, footwork, stamina, endurance, etc? And yes Shaq would smoke Edey but so what? What an odd hypothetical.
  2. I agree it’s high. I would’ve guessed more in the 5-7 range.
  3. You know going over the back isn’t a foul right? 😁
  4. He’s a stud. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him start next year.
  5. I think that going zone last year makes more sense than this year because as a team, I believe Purdue is close to 40% from 3. Last year I think they were only at 32% (and was reasons 1, 2, and 3) why we were upset in the tournament. You take your chances of Purdue torching you from 3 versus giving up 2’s with Edey. Its an interesting dilemma.
  6. That’s actually not accurate re him not being able to get offensive rebounds when he’s away from the basket. He’s extremely skilled at rebounding outside of his area.
  7. Apparently MD is Underwood’s kryptonite.
  8. Benter with 35 against my alma mater. Carmel is BAD this year. Can’t remember the last time they were this bad tbh.
  9. I’m guessing Loyer will be on him I’d imagine so probably haha. Loyer isn’t great on defense.
  10. My fear is for two main reasons: 1. We aren’t good on the road. 2. This is a big game for your tournament resume.
  11. I think we’re kind of buds now aren’t we?
  12. I think it’s just a case of having a lot of really capable front-court guys this year tbh. That question was asked (about him transferring) in a chat the other day and it sounds like his plan is to go to med school after Purdue so I’d imagine he’ll stay. Gillis is playing really well and shooting at a high percentage and TKR has been more consistent than Furst IMO. Even Heide has been coming on lately too. Will be more minutes available next year I’d imagine and it seems like he’s okay with his role right now. But in this day and age, you never know re transfer portal. Just checked and he’s only playing about 12 mpg, TKR is at 17, Gillis is at 19, and Heide is at 12. A lot is matchup-dependent but the minutes at the 4 are spread around quite a bit.
  13. I think Purdue is still the favorite per the metrics. But our margin for error has lessened quite a bit. Probably need to sweep UW now tbh.
  14. Knowing our road luck lately I fully expect you guys to be raining down from 3 lol.
  15. After shooting 61% from 3 against Purdue, Nebraska shot a sizzling 15% tonight against that vaunted Iowa defense lol. Pretty wild.
  16. Not gonna lie I’m disappointed you didn’t go for the Fairleigh reference haha.
  17. You guys had our number last year and the JHS mid-range still triggers me sometimes haha. But we were clearly the better team even with our early tournament exit.
  18. He looked off today honestly almost like he’s under the weather. Looked way more lethargic than normal.
  19. I posted after our NW loss too but I’m glad you’re thinking about me. I post regardless of whether we win or lose. Unless you’re talking about @Purdue7
  20. Won’t win many games when the opponent shoots 61% from 3. Tip your cap and move on.
  21. I wonder what kind of role he’ll have there. Will be interesting to see.
  22. Definitely hurts the “he camps in the lane” argument.
  23. Hey that’s alright in my book haha.
  24. I don’t blame him haha. I’d do the same thing.
  25. Apparently we’re becoming Georgia North haha.
