  1. Crawford was good at UM, but I don't think he would sniff the top 5 tbh. Rudy T has to be discussed.
  2. As is the incorrect spelling and/or usage of alot instead of a lot, your instead of you’re and “they was” instead they were etc.
  3. So we're not allowed to question Clif or the conditioning but we can question Archie's coaching tactics, assistant coaches roles, recruiting, a freshman's shooting form etc.? Like what's the difference? Bringing up the team's condition is not blaming Clif per se as much as it's questioning the program itself, of which he is apart of when they were not good. Like any opinion of a sports team (in this case IUBB), most everything is based on observations ie watching the games. I observed a team with lot of back problems. Is that Clif's fault? I have no idea, but neither do you are anyone else looking from the outside. I also observed a team that couldn't finish, hold their own underneath, and definitely wore down in tight games. Is that Clif's fault? Don't know the answer to that either. But saying the reason was they were down 15-2 every game or didn't substitute correctly is no better of an explanation. A huge part of the issue this season was injuries. Once again, I have zero information if Clif was the cause of the problem, probably not. But to say our questioning of his role in the teams flaws is "not smart" is kinda odd to me. I think he needs to be judge just like everyone else. I am no less qualified to judge a conditioning program than I am a Big Ten basketball program, so I fail to see the difference in question him versus any other aspect of the program.
  4. They need to get in better condition. I really believe that was part of the issue this season in the OT games and the 6 game losing streak.
  5. AJ Moye on Instagram and Watford (and his brother) on Twitter. Southern guys. Both consider him like family. People can bash the hire, but unless he's the dumbest guy ever, I would hope being investigated by the FBI scared him completely straight. This seems like a slam dunk hire for recruiting. He seems like a guy people/players/recruits love. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNqum1DFq9Y/
  6. Romeo sat out the NIT with a back injury I am not necessarily blaming Marshall, but similar to questioning the sandpit, it is a little odd how many back injuries we've had recently. I don't think back issues are very common in basketball players either. Non issue, maybe, but worth discussing in a thread about the strength and conditioning coach.
  7. IU never looked stronger than the other team. They never finished at the rim. Golic is also an idiot, but that’s an entirely different discussion.
  8. I was making an analogy. College coaches are supposed to “teach”. I played sports and have lifted etc. too. high school isn’t college, college isn’t the pros. Every level has a learning curve. Why hire a coach/trainer at if these guys know everything when they come in? IU has had a lot back injuries during this particular trainer’s tenure, that is a fact. I know players and others like like him and I know kids work out by themselves, but good habits are developed just like bad ones. Just putting it out there for discussion.
  9. I am just putting two and two together and heard Rob did have an injury from lifting. Could be wrong. Just putting this out there based on the other posters friend saying there was bad technique in the video + recent back injuries.
  10. Yes, if Woody recruited guys and they didn't know how to dribble, it would be his job to teach them how to dribble. If they recruit guys that can't shoot, you teach them how to shoot. So if you don't know how to lift, you allow them to lift and hurt themselves? That sounds like a terrible strength and conditioning coach. Maybe these guys have never lifted in their life:"yeah just go lift, if you don't know how, sorry, try not to hurt yourself."
  11. IU has had a lot of guys with back and/or lifting injuries: Rob, Galloway, Brunk, Romeo (in addition to the thumb). So I hope they do investigate him some as to why everyone is getting similar injuries.
  12. PG from Creighton, not Lander. I’m guessing Lander is not leaving.
  13. This is just pretty dumb. Players white and black etc. can relate to coaches regardless of their skin color. Not being PC, just being real.
  14. So, the Stevens dream is over. I couldn’t care less if the Celtics win or lose. Time to find a coach. That being said I hope we didn’t give Archie $10MM without a plan A, B and C.
  15. So he’s not taking the IU job, but got a raise from the Celtics? Seems like his wife is a pretty good agent. Sorry, if he really wanted the job, he’d take it. If any of the rumors were true, he was just doing what pros do, playing people against each other to get the best deal. Not saying he wasn’t interested, but he really wasn’t.
  16. Our best coach threw a chair on to the court etc. Losing it doesn't mean you can't coach. The results are there. But I get it. But I would definitely talk with him.
  17. He's my pick. But I am basing this on how well he recruited Indiana at times and his runs in the the tourney. But I'm curious why people don't like him? He's only 53. Granted his last few years were not great, but beside his last couple years, I would kill for those results.
  18. Why doesn't anyone want Matta? Curious. His record is better than most anyone else being mentioned.
  19. There are other people Tweeting about it too, not just insiders. But it seems like the "it's done" narrative is changing a bit. The insiders information is really fun and most of the time pretty good, but this type of rumor is as big as it gets for IU hoops. So I hope their connections aren't pulling their chains.
  20. Says the guy that says "They bored..." Y'all wanna have sex with my sister? Pack a reds and a case a Dew will work."
