On topic but off topic considering the last page and half. I was really surprised by how much Dane talked about Rob Phinisee. It sounds like Dane expects Rob to have a big role in the coming season. I know there had been some been chatter on here about how Rob may be odd man out of the rotation. However, hearing Dane talk about him, it sounds like he is going to have a significant role. Maybe a small role offensively, but a huge role defensively. Good to hear Dane go to bat for and at the same time challenge Rob in that interview. This team is going to have a completely different tone on defense and offense.

I keep reading and watching videos of all these NBA players giving such glowing praise about CMW. That has got to resonate well with recruits and their parents. Knowing he has been so successful and well liked with NBA players has to show that he knows what he is doing and can teach these high school kids how they can get to and be successful in the NBA.

I mentioned in the other thread that I was initially not on board with a potential Woodson hire as the HC. After reading, watching and researching Mike Woodson over the past day and listening to the press conference I am fully on board. I think this was a well thought out hire and I think he can succeed here. It isn't the big name I was looking for, but I am excited about the hire now. I am am optimistic and I think he can do some really good things here. The Thad Matta addition to the AD office I think will pay huge dividends and will really help Woody transition to the differences between the NBA and College.

I don't see Mason as a must get. The classes leading up to '21 have been strong. If we have a down class I think it is survivable without too much detrimental impact as long as the '19 and '20 classes meet or exceed expectations and the '22 class has to be strong. If '22 is down as well, then we are in trouble. If we get Mason, great. I think he would be a great get, and it would definitely make me feel better everything. Definitely stings though if we loose out on 3 or 4 of the top targets for the '21 class.

Grizz have a better program than Montana State. Travis DeCuire is a solid coach.

I remember some talk about recruiting Jake or maybe it was lack of recruiting him. Glad to see him doing well.

I'm very excited about Jordan. I think he blows up even more this winter and his ranking rises. Not that that matters. He's got huge potential and upside.
