  1. Mike Hart was Associate Head Coach at Indiana for at least 1 year I believe. What exactly does the Associate Head Coach do, kind of shadow the Head Coach and help with Head Coaching duties in terms of overall program planning or is it more game day and practice specific activities?
  2. I echo most comments here. Candle is my favorite from those 4. Hart would be number 2 as I think he could do great recruiting and be a little more relatable. My opinion is framed from limited watching of interviews from the past from some of the candidates and their background. Cignetti I think is really intriguing, but overall I am still in the Herman camp if he were interested. But, I don't know anything about coach selection. I'm an armchair AD. I won't be upset by anyone hired because it does no good, I don't know all the details of the search and interviews. So, I have no authority to judge and have indignation about the decision.
  3. The fundamental collapse in trust comment is what has me confused. Was there a deal in principle and then IU backed out or the candidate backed out?
  4. How are we losing out on him? Did IU interview and offer him the job and he said pass? If so, then yeah I would say we lost out on him. Seems, like a candidate you liked, but maybe IU never really even pursued. I wouldn't take that as losing out. Guess we lost out on Nick Saban too. Can't believe he would chose to stay in Alabama rather than Bloomington.
  5. Unfortunate to not see Hermann on that list.
  6. Oh, that was me. My company flew me and a couple co-workers down to visit a supplier. Not really, but I have flown there on a corporate jet from Bloomington several years ago.
  7. Herman could be a home run hire in my opinion. He won at Houston and Texas. First year in a rebuild at FAU hasn't been great, but the resume is great with time as OC at OSU also.
  8. That's an interesting idea. Don't know anything about him, but going to look him up.
  9. Names that stick out to me are Kane Wommack, Sherrone Moore and Justin Frye. Womack has successful history as DC at Indiana and has done decent down south since he left. Not sure gow he is on the recruiting front. Moore and Frye both have come from Big Ten success at UM and OSU and I think would be successful recruiters in the midwest. May have better options though than Indiana or would wait out for better options in a year or 2.
  10. Interesting having Ware and Ledlum on campus visits at the same time. Would be great to come out of it with 2 commitments.
  11. We needed some help inside and this should add some much needed depth. I am also very happy to add someone who has always wanted to be a Hoosier and understands what it means.
  12. He looks like a good solid body with decent footwork and handles in the paint. Would definitely be nice to have somone other than just MR who can score inside. I haven't read much about his defense though, any insight on how he is on the defensive side of the ball?
  13. Hate to hear this. Sounds like a helluva companion. Dogs are the best and just want to love and be a part of a family. We lost one of ours about 10 months ago and it tore me up and we have another who likely won't make it through the summer.
  14. The IU seeding likely won't change if they make the championship game win or lose. The bracket is likely set already, so long as they play Purdue.
  15. This was my line of thinking as well. If he can get a bit stronger, he could have a Draymondish type of impact.
  16. As the season has gone on, I think TJD has played himself into the bottom half of the first round. His athleticism and footwork and his passing have really been on showcase this season. I think his game translates to the modern NBA. While he doesn't have the outside shot, his game would be great coming off the bench for a contender.
  17. Why the hell is race still in the game. Should be sitting at the end of the bench.
