Here comes a make up call...
-
Geronimo is an absolute freak. The strides he has made since the start of the year has been outstanding
-
No doubt. And the ball seems to rarely leave his hands
-
Agreed. And up until now. Maryland didn't do a very good job of getting in passing lanes
-
There were standing still. Not moving at all when the ball went in the post
-
These guys NEED to move without the ball. When the ball goes in the post, MOVE AND CUT
-
We have ZERO movement when the ball goes in the paint
-
Wow. Thanks for the outstanding update Andy. I wouldn't have had a clue.

Yeah, it really depends on what he was "promised" or sold on. If he came to IU knowing he'd be a year behind, PT would be tough to get, etc. and was just not being challenged in high school, so be it. If he was told he'd be running point for IUBB from the get go, that's tough. But he seems happy and engaged with the team. Which is great.
-
Is Dickerson THAT good that he requires a double team? I honestly have no idea
-
Kopp is atrocious on defense
-
Interesting game for a point guard recruit to see. Our best player and big man sits out most of the game, and our point guard is given the freedom to take the game over.

Turnovers have been far a few between as well. Honestly, trayce has been passing GREAT out of the post. I think theyve learned they get great looks when they dump it down low
-
I dont get the point in taking them both out.
-
Woodson has to stop this. I saw that coming the second that lineup started
-
What's funny about Goodman's tweet is, when we hired Archie, Goodman said it was a great hire. He had no problem proclaiming that before Archie ever coached a game at IU.

I'm hoping Leal and Galloway are able to get on the court at the same time. Leal isn't a great match-up for a quick, athletic team like OSU, but I hope we get to see them together in some others. Amazing what smart basketball and playing with energy does for a team. This team continued dumping the ball down low and let it work from there. I thought Phinisee was very active defensively. He did a great job. The addition of Galloway makes this team so much better and deeper.

Amazing how every shot we get seems to be such a struggle
-
Always easier to spend someone else's money!
-
We need to land them.

Agreed. IUscott is 100% right, AAU has destroyed the teaching of fundamentals and team play. College coaches just have to emphasize possessions/turnovers. It's why you can pretty much point out which programs will lead the league in turnovers and which will have very few turnovers. The Virginia's, purdue's, Villanova's, etc take care of the ball and get more quality shots up. Others like we've seen the last decade lean toward the run and gun... get easy transition buckets at the expense of turning it over.... Coaches that are given time to build their program and bring their own players in will have a program that reflects what they teach/believe in. Taking care of the ball can be tought.... old habits die hard though. Easier to teach a freshman than it is a juniou/senior.

Leal has had a really nice game. Solid defense, good entry passes, smart plays.
-
Sure looked like it
-
We have got to dump it down low every possession.
