  1. A lot of people are going to be running lots of laps this week in Bloomington.

This team is a riddle wrapped in an enigma!

IU has great defense.  No, get torched by the Cuse.

IU can't shoot the three.  No, they go 19-42 for 45% over last 2 games.

This team weak on offense.  No, they get 90 and 88 in regulation in last 2 games.

This team has TOs under control.  No, 26 TO's v. the Cuse.

    Arrrggghhh!

Saturday the Cornhuskers at home.  What kind of team do we have?

  2. Lady Hoosiers lost today v. defending national champs #7 Stanford.  It was a very well played game.  IU just couldn't get the lead, but they don't panic.  Stanford very tall and deep.  Either of the these teams could make it to F4 and win it all.  Women's college basketball has gotten better and deeper.  It used to be just 1 or 2 teams dominated every year.  There are a number of teams that could win this year.

The Hoosiers were 88% from the line as a team coming in to today's game.  Imagine if you were shooting 80% from the line and your coach said you need to pick it up a little!  Unfortunately they were 14-20 today and lost by 3.

When I saw that VCU beat Syracuse I assumed they were an underrated mid-major but just saw that VCU has lost to Wagner and Chattanooga (and only beat St Peter by 3). Granted we have to play at the Cuse but our odds of winning might be better than I thought.

Syracuse got curb stomped by Colgate at home.  I'm not sure whether they are that bad or what.

I’m not ready to anoint him the second coming or anything.  All I wanted to point out is, that it seems like the light is “starting” to come on.  He’s still going to make mistakes and X is still the best option. That’s all I was trying to say. Didn’t mean to start this kind of debate.

You are expecting too much of us!  There is no subtle point that we can't blow up to look like an egregious error.  Just ask BGleas.  We could debate whether the sun comes up in the east for at least 6 pages, and we are only on page 3 on your topic.  So you lucked out!

  5. He was a dual threat QB coming out of HS.  He was known to have a big arm but not much else passing wise.  This fits what we've seen so far.  The question is can he develop his passing game, read defenses, through with touch, etc.  Think the jury is still out there.

I said it in the game thread last night, but Woodson has got to find a way to get Lander real minutes in this cupcake portion of the schedule.

He cannot got a full game not playing or just playing in garbage time in this portion of the schedule.

A decision has to be made by the staff, over these next three games, which has the better long term impact on this season and beyond, trying to get Phinisee right (which has been attempted for 3 years) or getting Lander comfortable and growing?

Very difficult to do both because the minutes just aren't there. I'd lean to the latter at this point.

Love Lander.  Don't think he got enough run last year.  The problem is he can't just can't play very long due to his defense and foul problems.  He's played 13 minutes in 2 games, and he has committed 4 fouls.
