I think Kopp will be the guy who stirs the drink for this team. 

Looks like this team already has an identity -- hard-nosed defense.

CMW reminds me a lot of CBK, but without the control-freak emotional baggage.  CMW very comfortable in his own skin.

CMW may be the answer, but he is working with a lot of the talent brought in by the previous staff.

It took me awhile to identify Jordan Geromino.  He seems much leaner than he was last year.  He certainly hit the boards.

TJD was all over the court doing all kinds of little things as well as the big things.

Kopp was the man.  He fits this team very well.

Coach MW was right that they need a lot of work, but their defense is clearly very good. 

Looks like we won this one on defense forcing lots of errors and converting.

I didn't see Leal's name in the FIBA summary.  Anyone know what's up with him?

Sounds like the early emphasis on defense is paying off.

The Refs should have scored at least 10 runs tonight but their ineptness with runners on is a total joke.  

The Cubs ate hitting lime .225 for the year and have been worse than that this month but our pitching they look good.

I hear that Garrett and Baez are going out to lunch together today before the game.

So will BIG 12 blow-up and flame out, or will they bring in some teams from lesser conferences?

Yeah, we've been getting beat out by MSU a lot in recent years.  Hope Fife and Woodson can turn that around

He's a lefty and a swat machine.  He did well on his jump shot, but he starts way to low for college.  Probably not a problem in HS as he's 6'11", but he can't get away with that in college.  If his motor and effort a question, then he's a project but lots of upside here.

Yes, I looked up Smith's winning % at ASU and i think it was around .580.  Problem was that winning % of all previous coaches was much higher!  Thought he might be in some trouble.  But hadn't heard anything until now.

ND moves on to super regional winning 10-0, 26-3, and 14-2 (all FB scores!).

She ought to learn something from Staley.

Cubs sweep Padres winning 6-1 today.  Baez jacked a 2 run HR.

Now go to West Coast to play Giants and Padres 7 games before returning to Wrigley to face the Cards.
