  1. So is there any actual off-season news besides a pissing match where one person has never been wrong and the other person has an unpopular opinion they are allowed to have? I think we can agree that no matter what is said, you will NEVER agree on this… Good grief. I’m ready for any type of season at this point…
  2. All I’m saying is if you all had a family member who was killed by a driver speeding (I’ve had 2) one in a car and 1 on a sidewalk who was 7 years old and your little brother and he was hit by a driver going 50 in a 25, you may look at it a little bit more serious than just a “ whoops bad decision”.In this situation thank goodness nobody was hurt. Take out the basketball aspect and if that’s your family member who was potentially put it harms way, it’s serious to you then. Imagine your son or daughter is driving home and that car turns just a little bit the wrong way and hits them. There always potential for things to go wrong anytime you’re in a car, but definitely shows a severe lack of good decision making and disregard for anyone but himself. We’ve all made bad decisions, but just because he ain’t perfect and neither are we doesn’t mean it’s okay either. In terms of being on the team I’ll leave that up to coach obviously, but I hope he learns his lesson regardless if he’s on the team or not and learns it isn’t all about X. If this was on somebody else’s team ya’ll would be all over him more than you are. My only post on the subject.
  3. Should we change the topic to Purdue off-season? Good lord. 3 pages full of Purdues off season. I’ll count this thread as one ill not be looking at for a while.
  4. I think that’s our best case scenario as well if people come back/progress to their potential.
  5. I hope Geronimo comes back. I went to the open practice in Dayton so I get it literally means nothing in the context of a practice but small things still stuck out to me. He was doing every stretch, every high knee, every lunge like it actually mattered. He went through drills and worked up a sweat and it looked like he cared and was focused on getting better. Same with leal and Galloway. Then you had Race half assing the warm ups, missing shots and laughing about it, and seemed like he was disinterested being there. He missed 4 straight free throws and laughed. They you saw how he played in the games, which mirrored his practice. Maybe he was in a funk idk, I honestly thought he was sick, but I’m burnt out on him if it means Geronimo leaving. We know what we have in Race, and he was a big part of our team, but I’d rather have my eggs in the Geronimo basket with the hope he can sure up his dribble, work on his shot, and then get meaningful reps if I had a choice, which I don’t obviously.
  6. Hell if it don’t work out just transfer, everyone else is. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  7. If kopp is playing 20 minutes a game next year I think we’re no better than this year. His perimeter defense is subpar at best and he gets lost ball watching too much then can’t make up for it because he can’t close out or to the rim. At least Jg can make up space. I feel like Kopp is a net negative. If he isn’t hitting 40 percent from 3 and shooting 4-6 threes a game he doesn’t need to see the floor imo. May not be a popular opinion but I’d give his minutes to leal, bates, Geronimo, etc. People talk about Leals defense being bad, which I think his ball pressure and perimeter defense and ball handling is better in the short spurts we’ve seen than Kopps. I was expecting Northwestern Miller Kopp at worst, and we got worse defense, worse shooting, and decisions made by a senior that our freshman were making too.
  8. Sniper. Sign him up. He took a lot of forced shots this year because of West Virginia’s team itself. Dude can shoot it and in big time moments too.
  9. It has to do with basketball…possibly IU…maybe..
  10. Minus Ivey I don’t think your team next year will be any less talented. But you will miss the experience for sure. Talent won’t be the issue, which Painter usually gets his best teams to play more cohesively that way anyway. Will still be a tourney team. Too hard to guess what any big ten teams will look like for next year.
  11. I think it’s unlikely Trayce and Race stay as well. Just more of a viewpoint on why I could see him leaving if it’s playing time. If it’s something other than playing time so be it. I think he’s a fan favorite and we all love how hard he plays. He bottles up his energy with a little more control and continues to work on his shot he’s a game changer for us. I thought if everyone left that could graduation wise he would be our leading or second leading scorer next year.
  12. I don’t think Jordan or Race want limited minutes. JG thinks he should start and see starters minutes. He doesn’t see that happening next year because it didn’t happen this year and he isn’t an upperclassman. Can’t blame him based on kopp and Stewart still getting so many minutes when they weren’t performing at a high level( albeit we didn’t have much better on the bench). I can’t see a situation they all 3 return.
  13. If UNC plays Duke again and beats them Davis will go down in history as a coach K killer lol
  14. The fact North Carolina was ranked going into the Acc tournament and ended up with an 8 seed was pretty crappy to me.
  15. And the tourney probably would have ended about the same way honestly for us.
  16. Yep I said the same thing. Straight up bs there. And it was the entire game.
  17. You can’t be undersized and missing shots and stay close with defensive lapses…
  18. Nothing like starting the half with 4 straight possessions for UConn. Not looking good. That number 3 for UConn is the Davison of womens basketball.
  19. Cardano-Hillary needs to play more under control and not overpenetrate this half. And yeah the refs not letting our girls get mugged inside the ENTIRE half would be great. I thought Aleksa was about to get up and throw some bows after she got threw down…
  20. Also with bueckers gimpy go at her. And for cripes sake box out!!
  21. Need to not settle for threes but hit when open. They don’t have the size needed. If I’m UConn I’m setting back screen and space and pound inside.
  22. It gets more and more obvious it’s a guards game. Whether it’s a 6’2 or 6’9 guard. The perimeter skills, ability to create offense, and the most obvious make shots.
  23. Hoosiers and huskies on espn if anyone interested. notre dame just choked one away. Glad the Iveys can spend some time together at home.
