  1. I came here to link what I thought were two important things about the pandemic.... here in Colorado. But then... i saw the warning post from Blue ( who I like) about locking down this critical thread..... and decided, though what I was going to link was not political.... it just not worth it. Guys play by the rules. Please.
  2. 2011 Spirit of Indiana Showcase: Victor Oladipo Thingamajig sings "Rainbow" Victor O.
  3. Congrats. Want pics of the wedding in the family thread. I am very happy for you. Wooo hoo, she said yes. You have been a big part of Hoosier Sports Nation. The "Family" page - Colonial Crester's Corner - Hoosier Sports Nation | Indiana Basketball and Sports Forum Thanks for sharing. Always said.... Hoosier Sports Nation is more than just a sports board.... it's a family board. Happy to add another member to the board.
  4. So sad. Appreciate your sharing your story with us. A memory that will never go away. I watched the monitors in a hospital room as my father slipped away. I feel your pain.
  5. I only watch golf for the Masters. Because the course is so beautiful .
  6. What's going on here ? A tribute announcement thread to Eric... that gets locked.... Honestly getting tired of important threads getting locked.
  7. Can we talk about politics now ? Just kidding.
  8. Could not think of a greater tribute.... to a great man. Thanks.
  9. I am definitely not a follower of Maddow. Regardless of where she got the info.... she broadcast as if it were a fact. I have watched You Tube videos of her saying it. No where did she say anything about mitigation. Just stated it as a fact.
  10. Though we have lost way too many, due to the pandemic. Rachel Maddow reported when this thing first broke out in our country that by now... 2.2 million people would be dead. I agree with you. It's not going away. That's why I continue to stay inside except to get the paper in the morning and the mail in the afternoon. May sound crazy.... but, then I wash my hands to "Happy Birthday"...the time I was told to take. In fact... I am ordering more "stuff" on line, ever before, rather than going to the store. Have another new tv coming this weekend, that I ordered on line.... rather than going to a store to buy it.
  11. Thanks. Something I found as a positive. I have a cousin who is in her 80's, and lives in Douglas County, Colorado... South of the mile household. The county is providing her with groceries, free of charge. And delivering to her house... so she does not have to go out. In fact, they are providing her with more food in a week than can eat. Mrs mile went there yesterday... and took bags of food to deliver to a food shelter.
  12. Still been hit and miss at our local Costco on everyday items, such as toilet paper. Even having a tough time finding stuff at our local grocery store. Just quickly.... a total shutdown has more ramifications than imaginable. I could go on and on. But just one example. Suicides in our state have gone way up.
  13. I served in the Army. Not the Navy. And at a later date. However that looks like a PT boat to me. Like the one JFK served on during WWII. Regardless... thanks to your Uncle for serving. Those were truly great Americans.
  14. Claire Underwood ... our nation's 47th President. Played by Robin Wright. Jenny Returns
  15. Thanks for the information.. and for sharing. Love the fact that there is no contract. Finally some companies are getting it.
  16. My wife taught at the same school for nearly 40 years... before retiring. Before this Covid thing. She has two teacher friends that have taught for an equal amount of time. Who... upon learning that they could not be in the classroom... chose to retire instead of doing remote learning.
  17. Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe Monterey Pop Festival 1967
  18. I live in the Cherry Creek school district here in Colorado. Our kids have been going to class. However... it has just been announced that starting in a couple of days..... they will have to go back to in home learning. Also... know of a young lady attending college in Colorado. And just hates all the restrictions put on her due to the pandemic. May drop out because of it.
  19. I love the fact that you actually drop off your compost materials. Good for you. If you are limited in space for a tumbler..... just know that they come in all kinds of sizes. This compost.... is for YOU.
  20. Boxes with lids. I think the tumbling ones would be good. I just use a pitch fork to turn the compost in my bins. I kind of like the bins.... in that they are obtrusive behind my raspberry bushes.
  21. Compost. Compost. Compost. Leaves in the Fall. Grass clippings in the Summer. And disposables like banana peals, potato peals, coffee and tea grounds.... the entire year. In fact.... most Starbucks offer used coffee grounds year long.... for free.... for gardeners. My son bought me two compost bins, a few years back. Work it the entire year over. But guys.... like Rico.. who have a lot of land can just build an outdoor compost pile.... and work it all year long.
  22. Beautiful family. Finally got a chance to see Little Keet.
