  1. He has already been put up on the block to pull in Jimmy Butler, but T-wolves weren't interested. If Rockets make any trades, EJ will be involved as a piece of a combo they offer. I saw on TV yesterday that Butler now wants to go to Philly, but don't see what they have the T-wolves would want. Fultz would probably be the piece, but I doubt any teams are really interested in him as a primary in a trade at this point. Just a topic for conversation, what if Butler would be open to Pacers. Would any fans be into it and who would you be willing to part with? Would it make Indy better or is Butler a cancer at this point after the way he has handled his trade demand?
  2. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/en-us/articles/myles-turner-pacers-indiana-has-no-chill Nice little ego stroke for Indiana courtesy of Miles Turner. I couldn't be more happy he signed an extension.
  3. Normally, I would agree, but that team was so poorly assembled there where holes everywhere.
  4. Maybe you are right. It just seemed to me that he could have been developed into a small forward or wing type. He has the athletic attributes, but I don't remember him ever taking a mid range jump shot at all. No idea if he had it or not.
  5. To be honest, he was playing out of position at IU in a way that definitely prevented him from potentially showcasing his full set of skills. He was essentially used as an undersized power forward ala AJ Moye.
  6. I am pretty sure professional athletes also have to pay income taxes in cities/states they play in as well. I thought I remember that being the case.
  7. I look at it as maximizing your income generated while you can. He is a mid-tier player in the NBA at best at the moment. He has nothing guaranteed past the next two year. $800k is a lot to leave on the table, if you are talking about the size of the contract he is signing. This isn't KD or Klay Thompson taking a pay cut. If he has the chops, he will make it Sacramento or not and this will allow him to continue to develop and showcase his abilities for after this contract is done.
  8. If a conversation about Paul George happens and Hoopster isn't a part of it, did the conversation really happen?
  9. LOL. As much as I like Stephenson, Lance kind of screwed himself when he declined a five year deal to go elsewhere, then came back when it didn't work out for him. If he took that offer, he would still be under contract for another two seasons and would have made more, I believe, over the duration, then what he will currently pull in. PG just needs to shut up. I have never had a problem with him doing what is best for him, but I did take issue when he put us in a bad spot by publicly leaking his intentions and backing the organization that drafted him, invested time in developing him, and did put a winning team around him for a majority of his time as a player. Luckily, we pulled the right player into the right situation for him to thrive, but odds our it shouldn't have worked out in our favor the way it did because of PG's actions and overall petulance.
  10. Lance Stephenson team option declined making him a free agent. I know he has his negatives, but I love watching the guy play. Disappointed, but I trust Pritchard at this point.
  11. Let's get this back on track. What do we want to see the Pacers do on draft day. Do we stay put or get aggressive and try to make some moves. The only name I have seen tossed around is DiVincenzo, who I think could end up being a steal and a Klay Thompson type player potentially.
  12. Since there isn't any activity on this thread, I thought I would get it going again. Pacers have clinched for the playoffs. Looking more and more like it may be P's/Sixers in the first round. Every prognosticator seems to be enamored with Embid and Simmons and not showing a lot of love towards the Pacers. What is everyone thinking. I really think our talent level is equal, if not better overall depth-wise than the Sixers and we match put perfectly with their roster.
  13. Don't look now, but Gordon averaging over 24/pts per game. God only knows what sort of player he could have been prior, if he was able to stay healthy.
