  1. Another thing about stopping the drinking (on Day 19) is my mood is so much better. Multiple people have remarked I look a lot happier now.
  2. Haha no I was OL/DL in my brief football career but I'm a Chicago Bears fan and love reading about the history of the Bears and the NFL. My brother bought me a book about Bronko's life for Christmas years ago. I like the mental image of a big, rugged dude running roughshod in a leather helmet back in the day.
  3. Does Carson Cunningham still have the Teen Wolf hair?
  4. Update - 4 weeks of medication and some lifestyle changes and my blood pressure is under control and I am cleared to have my surgery next week. 💪😎🤘 I quit drinking and I've dropped 12 pounds and feel the best I have felt in many years.
  5. I grew up on IU basketball and RMK. Remember watching the 1987 national championship game with my dad. The late 80's and early 90's IU teams fed my fanaticism for Indiana basketball. I went to IU-Bloomington for one reason and one reason only; to witness in person IU basketball and Coach Knight. The degree was a side benefit. I had student tickets all 5 years at college, attended countless games. I worked in the basement of Assembly Hall for a brief time, which was like a dream. And yes, I even ran into the man, the myth, the legend himself, Robert Montgomery Knight entering Assembly Hall one day in his fishing gear and I got to say Hi to Coach and he was super nice to me, and I'll always cherish that interaction. Of course, being around Assembly Hall so often, I also got to hear him delivering his wrath on someone from his office (thank goodness it wasn't me!). The year I graduated was the next-to-last season of Coach Knight's tenure at IU. Little did I know, he would be fired in a year. IU may have never won any championships during my time there but I still loved going to every game and experiencing IU basketball up, close and personal. Like some of you, my own father passed around almost exactly this time 4 years ago. @BGleas Like you said, I could imagine myself giving dad a call and discussing the news. All we would talk about is sports all the time. After every IU game when I was in school, I would call him and discuss the game. And I got him tickets to a IU vs Michigan game so he could see his Hoosiers at Assembly Hall for the first and only time of his life. Which was a memorable game, the one where Michael Lewis yelled back at Coach Knight and IU beat Michigan led by the Tractor Traylor. I'll always be thankful for my dad for introducing me to IU basketball and thankful to Coach Knight for making it a great ride. RIP Coach.
  6. Our offense is pretty good when nobody is covering 🙂
  7. Cover the spread on 3! 1, 2, 3...COVER THE SPREAD! 💪😎🍻 So you are telling me there is a chance...
  8. TB17 - The Secret Bagent Man - The new era of Bears football has begun. 💪😎🍻
  9. If I look at the Ohio State and Louisville games, I want to say yes the talent is there. But looking at all the other games, well um...not so much. I dunno man.
  10. I thought he was our coach for life after 2020 and had no issue with the extension. But man, we had all the momentum in the world in recruiting and the transfer portal and 3 years later, we have are 2-20 in conference play since then. It isn't just an off year or two, this is venturing into Bill Lynch bad territory.
  11. Our special teams are quite special indeed.
  12. Thinking out loud: Rutgers has beat us 2 in a row, looking to extend to 3 in a row Rutgers comes in a 5-2 and clinches bowl eligibility with a win ESPN matchup predictor favors Rutgers 68% Our hopes of salvaging a positive outcome for the season requires winning this game. We have the talent to beat them but we need to show up focused and disciplined for 4 quarters. We should be plenty motivated. I just lack any faith though. Prove me wrong for once? Please?
  13. Cubs should have never let Schwarbs go. I'll always have that stuck in my craw.
  14. Jerry Jeudy = Chase Claypool in my mind.
  15. I've always thought Bill Mallory should have been our Barry Alvarez. What if money was pumped into the football program to upgrade facilities and such around 1987-1988? Took way to long for any investment in the infrastructure of IU football to occur.
  16. I expect nothing but disappointment. 🤷‍♂️
  17. My surgery ended up getting canceled because my blood pressure was through the roof. Have a doc appointment tomorrow to look into that. Getting old sucks. 😥
