Nothing inspires excitement and confidence like selling off at the deadline for 3 consecutive seasons, if that ends up being the outcome.

I am starting a new program today. Tracking my daily steps and weighing myself once a week. Goal is 10,000 steps a day. I have 5,000 already today so that is a good start. I have lost lots of weight before, I just stick to four basics: 1) Eat better, 2) Less beer, 3) More water, 4) Move more Tracking my progress on a spreadsheet which appeals to the turbo nerd in me. 🤠

The Pacers current collection of young talent is intriguing but they need to put the pedal to the metal, get to the playoffs and win some playoff games again. Pretty sure the last time the Pacers did anything in the postseason was the George/Hibbert/West years when the LeHeat kept getting in our way. Since then, a lot of quick exits or just not in the playoffs at all. We did have the one year Oladipo was healthy AND good and pushed the LeBron Cavs to 7 games in the 1st round, that was 2018? So 5 years of blech. I'd like to see the Pacers win a title in my lifetime. We've had teams close before. In today's NBA, like I look at Denver and Milwaukee who are non-traditional NBA power markets that won it all. Toronto too, I guess. So can we luck into drafting a Giannis or Luka type player, or get a healthy Kawhi type player to fill out a promising roster to get over the top? Not likely but I can dream, right?

All the Cubs needed to get back to winning was a break from juggernaut teams like the Reds and to play a patsy like Tampa.

Draft Kings has a +250 boost on betting the winner. The betting boost had me looking at who all qualified and I saw the name Sting Ray Robb. I had to look that guy up, turns out it is his real name? Rookie driver, +15,000 to win so the boost wouldn't matter much there lol. Debating a bet on Helio for the heck of it. Just talking low dollar bets here, nothing serious lol.

The announcers during the Iowa game on BTN mentioned more than once about how IU is probably already in but mentioned Rutgers last season as a cautionary tale. That alone makes me feel a little nervous but based on all the team did this year, it sure seems like we belong in the tournament.
