How about two Packers defenders bullying a Detroit trainer attending to an injured player? The one guy got kicked out and cried like a toddler throwing a fit walking down the tunnel after being kicked out. The other fella (95), I guess nobody saw it.

This story doesn't really fit here but whatever - when I was in school (1996 or so) I ran into Jay Rodgers and Chris Gall in front of Kilroy's one night and we were drunk bros for a minute. It was pretty cool. I was wearing my Bears hat and they loved it. Then later Gall got drafted by the Packers. Anyways thus ends my random story.

I am super disappointed. I watched the replay and Northwestern was firmly in control of the game nearly start to finish. This loss at home fresh off the Iowa loss feels so bad. The injuries suck but other dudes got to step up and get it going outside of JH and TJD. I am supposing we will be without both X and Race for a while and it makes me fearful of how much worse it is going to get W/L wise before it gets better.

That sucked.

The difference is having the opportunity to trade for more assets, that is the reason I'd prefer the top pick.

I barely watched the game today - part of it was being exhausted from work but once I saw we were down big again, the excitement was out of the balloon. I think it is good to have played these games against Arizona and Kansas. Hopefully the lessons learned pay dividends. But I'm not going to pretend I'm not disappointed at the final scores not being more competitive on both contests.

I appreciate what Coach Mallory did for the program but I think some of you forget what those last years was like. I was there, I was on campus. I remember it. 3-21 in conference play his last 3 years (technically bumped up to 4-20 due a Sparty forfeit after-the-fact). There was absolutely no sign of it getting any better. My hindsight take-away is they should have started pouring money into better facilities and whatnot in 1987 when the iron was hot instead of waiting nearly 30 years. Mallory could have been our Barry Alvarez with the right support in the moment.
