The most frustrating thing to me is if we just could have beat Rutgers and Nebraska then we are bowling and this season feels a lot less painful.

Agreed

Indiana HS football 2022

Carroll's season was a cool story. A buddy I used to work with is an assistant coach there. -
Well… it is Bucket week!

I think we will cover the spread and make a game of it. -
If we beat Purdue and Illinois beats Northwestern then Illinois wins the West. Not sure what happens if Illinois loses as well, lol. Maybe it reverts back to Iowa?
-
Man that one play where Iowa went 5 wide empty and the RT completely ignored the DE lined up off his shoulder to block nobody, I swear some of those dudes are throwing lol.
-
Man I really picked the wrong Pacers game to attend lol (vs Spurs although it did get exciting at the end). I need to pick another game to attend now. Loving all this winning over tanking.

Another day, another win.

I generally avoid game threads for the same reason I watch most games alone; I can cuss and say whatever I want about my team but I get aggravated at anyone else doing it. LOL.

Great win on the road in a hostile environment. Face adversity and overcome it. Will pay dividends down the road for sure. Plus I won a lot of money on IU. 😎
-
It is some BS for sure lol.

Michigan down by 30? Awww. How sad. 😎 -
Somewhere buried deep in my closet is my WE'RE BACK t-shirt from around that time. I get the point for sure. 🤪

I'm fine with blowing it up and starting over.

I was in Dallas around Halloween and it was 58 one day with cold rain. It felt so Indiana, lol.

I wish in our good years that we make a bowl game that we would win the bowl game more often. Tom had some good years but damn it is depressing to be staring down the barrel of another barren 2-year stretch where we might only win one Big Ten game. Eh, I've been following IU football for nearly 40 years I guess it is what it is. I don't know how to change it.
-
So much for that.

Don't suck on 3! 1, 2, 3, don't suck!
-
Yeah 13.5 seems low to me as well. I got a text from IU athletics earlier today that there is a wind advisory from 8am to 8pm tomorrow in Monroe County. Hopefully the gusts of wind blow in our favor!

I attended the Pacers game last night. Felt like I was watching a G-League game in a NBA arena lol.

2020 seems like a distant memory now.

At least I got to see a historically significant season of IU football in 2020. That will always stick with me. COVID year, no fans, don't care. Did a lot of things in the course of one season I may never see again. Sucks we got screwed out of a better bowl game but whatever. If they get rid of these bullcrap divisions and we can get a more balanced conference schedule that would do wonders imo. I mean yeah, OL play needs to get back to an acceptable level too and all that.

Social media is slowly killing us
bronkonagurski replied to TheWatShot's topic in Colonial Crester's Corner
I've always had a love/hate relationship with social media. Seeing everyone's business all the time can definitely inspire negative feelings for an average person and it is worse if you have issues with depression. I keep my Facebook only because there are certain people on there that it is the only medium I keep in touch with them. Message boards, it is easy to get angry about things you see posted. I keep trying to remind myself it would be a lot different if I was meeting a person face-to-face and discussing over a cold brew but man it is so easy to just type words on a screen and hit submit and so much of the real social interaction is lost there. You can lose sight of the fact you are dealing with a real person who maybe just thinks differently than you and is not trying to instigate any kind of personal battle with you. -
it is kind of a case by case basis for me.

Better late than never? I guess. Beat Maryland.
