  1. I hear what you're saying as well, and I think these NBA guys have more AAU and grassroots connections then we probably think. With that said, I don’t love the idea of 2 out of 4 of our available offsite recruiters should we hire Whitman (Woodson, Whitman, Fife and Hunter) basically having zero college basketball recruiting experience.
  2. Martelli has been recruiting his entire career.
  3. I highly doubt all these programs only have one key recruiter. On the current staff Fife, Hunter and Ya are all recruiting. I don’t think there are college assistants that don't recruit.
  4. Whittman is obviously a good basketball mind, but at this level you need assistants that are going to grind the recruiting trail. Is Whittman going to do that, especially with little to no experience?
  5. Are you saying Sean Miller is going to start dominating the Midwest? Like, IU, OSU, Michigan, Purdue, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, etc should all be really worried? Otherwise, I'm not sure why you think this has anything to do with IU specifically?
  6. Exactly. Sean Miller didn't get fired for cheating. He got fired for missing the tournament his last three seasons.
  7. That's who that is? He was acting like a complete clown the last several minutes of the UConn game. I honestly couldn't believe the refs didn't give him a tech. Everytime he scored running around the court flexing to the crowd, waiving bye to the UConn bench and fans. The refs had to speak to him several times.
  8. It's not excuses. There are three entities that impact the outcome of a game. The two teams and the officials. In this game the officials have been horrible and absolutely impacted the outcome.
  9. Do you feel the same way when IU plays at Madison?
  10. There were like 3 tackles on that scramble too.
  11. Not rooting for them, rooting against NCAA officiating ruining yet another game.
  12. Meant to add, I would absolutely love it if Logan Duncomb would develop into something similar to Matthew Mayer on Baylor.
  13. It's so horrible across the board. Officiating plays so a massive part in the outcome of these college games.
  14. I can't imagine that was what was drawn up.
  15. Even the media is trashing the officiating. This isn't remotely the only one, just picked this one.
  16. Hoping the staff can ramp the recruiting even more this offseason, especially the portal for wings. So tired of clogged lanes!
  17. Agree, though I'd add that both schools typically have multiple guys that can break you down off the dribble. Watching Baylor now, and most possessions there isn't even a player inside the 3pt line. They're so spread out and because they're so skilled the defense has to respect it.
  18. There several teams I watch the last few years and I just think that I wish IU could recruit and play like these teams. This goes further back then last year, so I don't mean to cherry pick recent national title winners, but I just love the type of players Baylor and Villanova recruit and the style they play. Just tough players, skilled and aggressive guards, 3 & D wings with length, and long, athletic bigs that rim run offensively, can play the PnR and are tough defensively. Both programs play tough D and play with pace offensively.
  19. The difference is ND didn't play 3 conference tournament games. They were one and done in the ACCT. They didn't have 5 games in 8 days. Completely different situations.
  20. I know, you're right. Not sure how we would have handled PU vs UK?
  21. French class wasn't a real big strength of mine 🤣. I excelled at gym class though!
  22. Yeah, I hate that this almost has me rooting for Purdue.
