  1. Ugh, Tatum out 10-14 days for Covid protocols. The Celtics are already missing Thompson, Rob Williams and Grant Williams for the same, as well as Kemba and Langford due to injuries. Kemba started practicing so that is good, but going to be a tough stretch here.
  2. Love to see it. I'm a Steph fan and would love to see him have a monster season.
  3. Good win for the Celtics tonight over Washington, while missing Kemba, Tristan Thompson, Robert Williams and Grant Williams. Tatum with 32 and Brown with 27. Those two are playing at such a high level. Real reason for the post is I feel so bad for Langford. He would be getting so much good playing time right now, but instead is basically going to be another lost season.
  4. We have a scholarship he could take right now, right? He couldn't play, but he could begin practicing. Not a bad replacement for TJD. This is a kid like Lander that reclassed from 2021 to 2020.
  5. Yeah, college officials are the worst and its not even close. I can understand some people not liking some of the rules (gather step, continuation, etc) in the NBA but the officials do as good of a job calling games as you can. I wish they called some notorious floppers better, but generally NBA refs do a good job. College refs are just flat awful. They couldn't call a proper charge/block if the players were in slow motion, they literally hunt ticky-tack fouls on the perimeter while letting guys get clobbered in the paint, and I'm going to scream if I see one more needless travel called.
  6. Maybe someday if he keeps working at it 🤣
  7. Absolutely! And especially in a division that will still be relatively weak.
  8. Next year is make or break for him, for sure.
  9. Don't forget Jaylen Brown. Averaging 28.0ppg on the season with a 27.89 PER. In 3 games last week he averaged 32.7ppg on 70% shooting from the field and 52% from 3. He's actually leading the Celtics in scoring through 7 games.
  10. I think be back at least one more season. I have no problem with what he did last night.
  11. They're close to it. One of the oldest rosters in the league. The GM has been really bad too.
  12. I'm not opposed to giving him one more year, as he does have some equity built up with the Super Bowl win, but he was not good this year. He was an awful play-caller, put Wentz in a lot of bad situations, etc. For some reason he and Wentz don't mesh. Pederson seems to thrive more as a playcaller with QB's that excel at the read-option. Wentz used to be good at that (2017) but they don't do it much since he had the knee injury. Foles and Hurts are both read-option guys. But yeah, Pederson was terrible this year.
  13. Agree. If the Giants want to be mad at anyone they should be mad at themselves for being in that position to begin with. Eagles did what was best for their organization. Losing that game was the difference between selecting 6th in the draft or selecting 10th/11th (not sure exactly where they would have landed).
  14. Haha, I know, right! Was watching on NBATV and was sure he would. That move he made was exactly what he should be doing in that situation, work his way to the elbow and either take the midrange or get to the hoop.
  15. Meyer wants full control. I dont see him going to the Cowboys where he'd be second fiddle to Jerry Jones and have to deal with Jerry Jones the GM.
  16. Ugh, tough break for the Pacers. I really like their team and they're still tough, but man he was a key piece.
  17. My man Jaylen Brown with 42 point last night on 7-of-10 from 3 and 15-of-21 overall. Brown is making yet another leap this year. One of the best mid-range games in the league at this point. Edit: Just read, he did the above in 3 quarters.
  18. I actually expected it. The Celtics like him and they are in a bit of a cap bind with Tatum, Brown, Kemba and Smart on big, long term deals. It's part of the reason they didn't want Turner. The Celtics need as many of these shorter, relatively smaller contracts on the books as possible. These contracts keep the bench costs down and are also easily inserted into delas to make the money match. It's a shame that Langford is injured, because he'd be getting a lot of time right now.
  19. Our opponents shoot 29.3% from beyond the arc this season against one of the toughest schedules. Last year our opponents shot 32.2%.
  20. Yeah, loving him so far. He was huge in the second half. He provides a secondary ball handling, playmaker that allows Tatum and Brown to at times score easier without having to create themselves all of the time. Remember, Crean tried to recruit him. Would have been a huge get.
  21. Two really good, exciting games between the Celtics and the Pacers! I like both of these teams. I think it works out better for the Pacers to run it back with this group healthy. Honestly, they remind me of the Raptors of the last 6-8 years with their depth, skill and athleticism. They just don't have a Kawhi, but they're still a team that can win a series or even two in the playoffs. I like them. I like my Celtics too. Brown and Tatum are playing at a high level, some things to clean up, but they're great. I'm really happy with the defense and rebounding of Tristan Thompson. Obviously Kemba is the wildcard, we need him healthy to be a legit contender, and to move to a smaller, quicker lineup (Thies off the bench). Oh, I love the kid Pritchard from Oregon. Great pick in the late 1st round. Really like both of these teams.
  22. I know, completely agree. Paul Pierce was always so great in those situations and he would almost always work his way to the elbow for a mid-range jumper.
  23. I've love him, but that is all Tatum ever does in that situation regardless of the score. His next step if cleaning that up.
  24. Good game, will be fun to watch again Tuesday. I love Tatum, the guy is a star that is becoming a superstar, but he has to figure out these end of game situations. Regardless of the score or situation, you can guarantee he's going with a 30ft step back 3. Never fails. He should have worked to get the ball at the elbow and operated from there.
  25. Wow, the Mavs are beating the Clippers 62-18 with 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter!?!?
