  1. I don’t disagree. But I also remember my days in the late 90s where they were giving away season tickets. Watching ARE for free…that was the life!
  2. Nothing screams desperation more than ticket give aways and deadline extensions!!
  3. Thx. Normally there is fog and 4-5 more life-size ghouls and witches. The rain kept them inside this year.
  4. I don’t disagree. I just hope Crane (the owner) decides not to go ‘Jerry Jones’. That’ll not have a pleasant outcome if that’s the case.
  5. Dude. My wife hasn’t fully taken down all of the Halloween decor. And with the Halloween being rainy this year she only did 75%. i like the arches BTW. I tested 2 of those last year and they worked well. I’m going to build a few more this year. I have a tough time with Xmas decor because my yard is sloped. Here’s a walk around this year. https://youtu.be/iSAUbf2EM1A
  6. There was a huge rift between Crane/Baker and Click. Click made some mid-season deals for some second tier players and whiffed on a few preferred targets. As an Astros fan, I’m ok with this. But I also acknowledge that the Click family was very philanthropic within the Houston community and will be missed. From what I’ve gathered he and his family really loved the Houston area.
  7. Rutgers goal. Down 1-3. 5 to go. That's the ball game (maybe this post won't age well!??!!).
  8. lol I'm no Colts fan, but I'm not sure I can pinpoint a more obvious Good Ol Boys Club hire, ever.
  9. I have a set of Jabra Elite 85t ear buds. I don't have a knock on other brands and can't say where these stand in comparison, I can only say I have had a great experience and have zero complaints. I also own a set of Jabra Evolve 75 headphones for my home office. I have used them on occasion to listen to music but they are mainly for taking calls. Noise Cancelling technology was important in my decision.
  10. Costco is great for electronics and large appliances. They have a much larger selection in general (at least compared to BJs). BJs is cool for those who coupon as they accept them. We don't commit loyally to anyone store/brand. My wife does the shopping, so it's usually a hodge-podge of places.
  11. GOAL HOOSIERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All tied up at 1. ~7mins remaining in 1H.
  12. Money, obviously. And I get that. From a business perspective I completely understand. From a fans perspective I hate it. They play 17 games and each of them count. Then they say, You, You, and You have to lose your home game and play at a neutral site. In the grand scheme of things, it's probably not a big deal, but still.
  13. Would love this. However, he's forging his own way and IU has been left in his wake.
  14. Her life story is fascinating for sure. I love those types of stories.
  15. Camden Yards is my absolute favorite. I love that park. PNC Park is gorgeous. I felt the corridors were a bit narrow (not like old Yankee stadium narrow) but for my tastes narrow. Coors Field is a great place to see a game. I also enjoyed Miller Park (best pre-game atmosphere for a random mid-season game I've been to...and the cheese curds in the park were delish!). Target Field is also very cozy...felt smaller/intimate than other MLB parks I've been to. How could I forget Minute Maid Park. That's a beautiful stadium too. The ease of access in and around Houston made for a great trip.
  16. Some of my favorite books (in no particular order): Ready Player one - Ernest Cline Outlaw Platoon - Sean parnell The Martian - Andy Weir The Boys in the Boat - Daniel James Brown The Turn of the Key - Ruth Ware This Tender Land - William Kent Krueger Bad Blood - John Carreyrou Educated - Tara Westover The Book Thief - Markus Zusak Where Crawdads Sing - Delia Owens The Great Alone - Kristin Hannah The Codling of the American Mind - Jonathan Haidt Only Killers and Thieves - Paul Howarth Indianapolis - The True Story of the Worst Sea Disaster in the US Naval History - Lynn Vincent The Spy and the Traitor - Ben Macintyre
  17. Bogus! Strawberries!? Everyone in Delaware knows that Scrapple is the breakfast choice of the locals. Personally, I won't touch it, but locals love it.
  18. Sorry, I was referencing DTVs satellite interface. I can't speak on their streaming interface.
