Watching BTN halftime...my God!! Jess Settles looks like Cromagnonman.

Haha...that was some kind of ugly basketball. Wasn't it, Scott? RR is once more burning like a pile of old tires. 😂😂😂

Yeah, that was hard to watch. And I'm speaking of after the injury as well as the moment. But Paul Brown, while being an innovator, was a tough, conservative to the point of cheap, businessman. He wasn't, imho, a visionary. He had an assistant coach, Bill Walsh, who was one and he failed to recognize it. Walsh left when he was passed over for the head coach position with Brown giving it to Tiger Johnson. The franchise has rarely shown that it cherishes its players. No jersey retirement or much hoopla over individual's careers. This is the Brown's family business and the bottom line has always appeared to be more important than championships. Mike Brown would, of course, argue that idea, but just ask ten people living in Cincinnati about him and see what answers you get. The differences between the Rooney family approach to ownership and the Brown family approach is night and day.

You say that you would never bet against Bill Belichick... well, I would never bet on Mike Brown or his extended family.

Terry Baker was #1 pick in the NFL draft for 1963. Played for the LA Rams 1963-65. Left-handed QB.

Braden Smith Commits to Purdue
jv1972iu replied to The Daily Hoosier's topic in Basketball Recruiting
I want a kid who hasn't bought into the AAU "my game" and "my brand" hype. Who dreams of playing pro, but knows he still needs to work in a team environment and values/understands the education as his safety net. But I'm old and maybe that's crazy old man thinking. 😊 -

This kid sounds a lot like Jordan Hulls, but with better athleticism, if he can dunk. That said...I'd take him for his shooting, ball handling in a heartbeat. Oh yeah... and his toughness plus his bb IQ. -
Dog, cat, something else, or nothing?

🙏 Lord, watch over this family this night and bring them peace. Amen
-
This 100%. Move on.
-
That sounds like a conspiracy theory to me. 😁
-
Yeah, tell that to those of us living in Cincinnati. 😐 You don't know the meaning of old.
-
You can relax now, Scott. 😂
-
Yeah, when was the last, if ever, time that these four coaches all had what is shaping up to be mediocre teams/seasons in the same year.
-
LOL...yeah, I believe Izzo might just agree with you Rico. 😂

Nope...MSU just played poorly. Minnesota has beaten them pretty badly on the boards. MSU doesn't have a real "go to guy". Their guards are very average. I imagine everyone in Lansing figured Watts would take over for the kid who graduated... can't think of his name. Big shoes to fill.
