  1. Does anyone at ESPN do any research anymore? The Tigers took Max Clark with the third overall pick, and mentioned he was the best player to come out of Indiana since Bryan Bullington, who played for IU. Except, Bullington didn't play for IU, he played for Ball State. Probably written by someone who was multi-tasking this article and a story about what Wemby will have for breakfast tomorrow.
  2. It's crazy how badly Archie Miller flubbed that class. He had all the hallmarks of a low-energy recruiter while he was here. He must have had an amazing interview that was totally out of character for him when he applied for the job.
  3. It's a threat when you have the worst offense in MLB and your pitchers are under a ton of pressure to not give up runs. Even though everyone wants to see a no-hitter, winning the game is more important.
  4. I know you'd rather see pitchers throw until they drop, but the score was only 2-0, the Blue Jays had a mini-threat going and Manning was starting to labor.
  5. 9th* no-hitter in Tigers' history. *Actually the 10th, even if the record books don't show it.
  6. That's nothing...you should see how much it takes them to score a run.
  7. I'm shocked (well, not really) at how many articles ESPN has been putting out referring to him as "Wemby." I can't recall any player, in any sport, getting that kind of treatment before even playing a real game.
  8. Lmao, 23 again this week. The Pirates are still below them despite sweeping them last time they met and having 5 more wins.
  9. I'm not sure what their record will end up, but I have a hard time believing they'll go into February with only one loss again.
  10. I think a lot of non-Cardinals fans are enjoying this. At this point I'm honestly curious what it would take for them to drop any lower than 24 on ESPN's power rankings.
  11. Hoping against all hope that the $32 million Cabrera is getting this season will help overpay for a couple bats next season.
  12. The second-worst offense prevailed over the worst offense as the A's defeated the Tigers 1-0 in 10 innings. Tigers have been shut out 10 times this season.
  13. The two worst offenses in MLB are currently locked in a scoreless tie in the 7th inning, in a game that started an hour and a half ago. Who needs offense, anyway?
  14. The huge explosive fireworks are fun at baseball games...not so much when 3 people in your neighborhood are doing them all at once at 11 p.m.
  15. I always thought he was a passive player playing for a passive coach. Not a desirable combination.
  16. This is probably what I hate most about interstates. Interstates were designed for faster travel. I want to get up to 75 and just hit cruise control. It's so annoying constantly having to brake for trucks that do this.
  17. I read yesterday that Indiana has had 44 tornado reports this year, when the state averages only 22 annually. The year is only half over and we've already doubled that number.
  18. Indiana fans (and Purdue fans, for that matter) have this weird fascination and bond with players who come from Indiana. I've never quite figured out why, or why it seems to be exclusive to this state.
  19. He's got his work cut out for him, that's for sure. Pretty cool to learn he was a finalist for the job in 1995.
  20. There are a lot of myopic IU fans in this world. I never thought you were one of them.
  21. Don't forget, they suspended him for Kraziness in the Kennel too! 🤣
  22. Probably a good thing Al Avila got canned last summer. Had two #1 draft picks, wasted one on a pitcher who hasn't thrown in 14 months and now this.
  23. They moved up in ESPN's power rankings last week after going 1-5.
  24. If you draft a guy #1 and he barely hits .200 as a rookie and is then hitting .224 the next year, is it anything to worry about? Asking for a friend.
  25. I'd rather see them turn into a dumpster fire with a new coach while Woodson has us humming along and we kick their asses for a few years. I grew up in the Mike Davis era watching us lose to them every year and dreamed of a time when we'd finally start smacking them around. Maybe it'll finally happen.
