Back in football season, all Iowa had to do to reach the Big Ten championship game was beat the dumpster fire known as Nebraska at home. Nebraska came in and clowned them. Will this be just like football? Probably not, but it would be hilarious if it was.

If Dakich is to be believed, there were 4 players who wanted to transfer here last spring, but we had no room. I have to think Woodson will reach out to at least one of them this time around, which is why I'm not ready to join in on all the hand-wringing among our fans about next season. We have a rather antiquated view of transfers, among other things.

We've been getting punked at home for awhile now. Illinois leaving snarky messages on the whiteboard in the visitors' locker room when they beat us last year...Ron Harper waving at the crowd after his game winner, the Iowa kid blowing a kiss tonight...probably others as well. There's just no fear of any kind of repercussion. Back in the day, you'd never see this garbage because teams knew there'd be hell to pay at some point down the road if they poked the bear. We just sit back and take everything now.

I stopped expecting anything intelligent or insightful from those people a long time ago, but this guy has it backwards. If IU was this irrelevant team that no one thought highly of, wouldn't Purdue have taken a massive tumble in the polls from losing either game?

Most of the times we've been pressed this year came when we were ahead. We trailed from the 9 minute mark of the first half today until there were 30 seconds left in the game.
