  1. A holding call on a fair catch. I swear NFL refs hunt penalties on punt returns.
  2. Neat. Maybe they can play Michigan for third place in the You Lost, Get Over It Kumbaya Bowl.
  3. Good. OSU fans were eviscerating Stroud on Twitter after the Michigan game. They don't deserve him or a national title.
  4. I can't think of a fanbase that would be less deserving of a national title than OSU, which means they'll probably win it.
  5. Class basketball neutered a lot of the big schools who could win their sectionals without breaking a sweat. Now those fanbases have to watch their teams get knocked off in the early rounds by other big schools while much smaller schools play deeper into the month of March. That's typically where a lot of the bellyaching comes from.
  6. LMAO, technical foul on UConn. Something about the Cintas Center...
  7. Jerome Hunter has 13 points off the bench. Xavier up 6 with 6:33 to go.
  8. I don't know the attendance figures for each team, but I wouldn't be surprised if the two bigger schools had poor turnout. I was at this event one year in the late 2000's and remember talking with someone who worked there. He said they actually prefer getting smaller schools because they ironically bring bigger crowds. It's just a lot tougher for a small school to have the credentials needed to be invited to this event.
  9. This is what 2 decades of losing coaches with a losing mindset has done to our fanbase. We look for disadvantages where there shouldn't be any, and we just assume the worst. I'm sick and tired of it, but this isn't something that gets fixed overnight, either.
  10. The Cardinals' offense was almost identical to the Colts in that last 10 minutes. A fumble near midfield when they still had the lead, followed by a 3 and out, next possession stalling near midfield because they were out of timeouts and wasting plays, and unproductive first and second down plays in OT. Kind of a sobering reminder of how bad the Colts are right now.
  11. The Pats are now 3-4 at home this season. Foxboro used to be one of the most feared places to play in all of sports. Post-Brady, it's just another NFL stadium.
  12. It was actually 6 in the first half and 4 in the second. They did seem like they were more reluctant to shoot in the second half.
  13. Felt like a perfect storm for an upset. Shorthanded team playing in a dull atmosphere due to students being gone and bad weather. This was the type of game you're more relieved to not lose than to win. Race was MIA again. Reneau is unplayable right now. Geronimo made some clutch free throws in the second half, but did nothing in the first half to suggest he should play more. Duncomb looked like a low-major center the one time he got the ball. Bates, Galloway and JHS won the game for us.
  14. Dairy Queen strikes again. Went to the drive thru last night to order 3 items. I read off item #1. Pause. I read item #2. "What was the first thing again?" I repeat item #1, pause, repeat item #2, pause, read item #3. I hear the employee asking someone for help, followed by "so, you want such and such?" To which I said no, and read my whole order a third time. About 10 seconds go by, and I add "that's all." Another 10 seconds go by. I said, "Are you there?" Nothing. So I pull ahead to the pickup window. They got all 3 things wrong.
  15. I would have gladly taken 12 inches of snow if it meant no wind and about 20 degrees warmer.
  16. Where did you see 12-18"? People who project double digit totals more than 2-3 days out almost always end up way off the mark.
  17. That moment when the NWS map has more colors than a van Gogh painting...
  18. You know sh*t's getting real when Kroger has THREE cashiers working instead of the usual 1 or 2.
  19. Saw a math riddle video this morning asking what can you place between a 3 and a 9 to get a number larger than 3 and smaller than 9. Most of the people commenting were certain it was a minus symbol.
  20. Easy for us to say that when we never actually went though any of it.
  21. Burnout is what happens when you spend too much time doing something and don't feel like you're getting anything beneficial out of it. It doesn't necessarily mean any of these guys are soft.
  22. Southern Indiana always seems to be noticeably warmer than the northern half of the state. I know that storms coming from the south usually bring heavier snow due to pulling Gulf moisture, but it seems like every single storm we get here, regardless of where it came from, is followed by brutal, punishing cold. Don't even get me started on those days in the spring when southern Indiana is getting severe weather and it's practically cold enough to snow up here.
  23. This actually happens? Clearly not where I live.
  24. I think people have selective memory when it comes to that 01-02 team. I'll always appreciate the run they gave us, but people seem to forget we lost 12 games that year, and there were times when that group didn't always seem so tough. Everyone remembers beating Duke and Oklahoma...not everyone remembers losing at Illinois and MSU after spanking both of them at home. Nor does everyone remember the team crapping its pants in the last 5 minutes against Iowa and letting a former Hoosier beat them after sweeping Iowa during the season. We also lost to Butler that year, and failed to score in the final 2 minutes of a home loss to Wisconsin.
