I think people have selective memory when it comes to that 01-02 team. I'll always appreciate the run they gave us, but people seem to forget we lost 12 games that year, and there were times when that group didn't always seem so tough. Everyone remembers beating Duke and Oklahoma...not everyone remembers losing at Illinois and MSU after spanking both of them at home. Nor does everyone remember the team crapping its pants in the last 5 minutes against Iowa and letting a former Hoosier beat them after sweeping Iowa during the season. We also lost to Butler that year, and failed to score in the final 2 minutes of a home loss to Wisconsin.

The Purdue fans I know either aren't impressed or aren't sure what to think. Purdue Athletics seems to be trying pretty hard to sell this hire with phrases like "Coordinator of the Year" (which I had never heard of until now) and "fastest rising young coach" (what does this even mean?).

Maybe I should get a vote. lol Purdue can't complain about lack of respect anymore.

We beat a Big Ten team by 16 earlier in the week. I'd like to think we'd get a little more respect than that.

People who drive behind you with their brights on so you can't look in your rearview mirror without blinding yourself.

I think it was intentional. They knew Xavier would intentionally miss the free throw, and a dead ball was their only chance of extending the game. So they gave them 2 points for a chance to take the ball out of bounds for a potential 3 to tie.

They get more calls on the road than any team in this conference. It's bizarre.

Gonna be a rough year. We don't have much.

It wouldn't surprise me either way if: 1) None of the officials were aware of this rule, or 2) They knew the rule, but ignored it because they feared the reaction such a call would elicit from the OSU crowd.

I prefer not fouling at all, but I think if you're going to, it needs to be in the backcourt. If the ball gets beyond half-court, anyone who gets fouled is almost certainly going to put on an Oscar-worthy performance to make it look like they were shooting.

Crazy that I came here to make a post about toilets and this was the most recent post... I will never understand people who take a dump in public restrooms and don't flush.

Luck actually being healthy was the big impact.

Colts might end up with the #6 pick just like a few years ago. Hopefully this time they use it on someone who can actually make an impact.

In football, Indy is just on a different plane from the rest of the state. Adams Central has phenomenal depth (68 players this year), speed and talent for a 1A program...but was still no match for Lutheran. It's crazy how in high school sports, a team can look unbeatable and have all the right pieces, but there's still somehow another team out there that's even better.

I was skeptical of Duke when I saw they beat Oregon State 54-51. Oregon State is coming off a 3-27 season and is #222 in Kenpom. They're currently trailing Portland State 14-1 (seriously) in the last game of that event, and Portland State already beat them by 13 earlier this season (also seriously). A little disappointed that Xavier couldn't beat them or Gonzaga.

I've never understood why any college basketball player with half a brain would back off a shooter at the top of the key with the shot clock under 5.

Had a feeling they were going to wave off the basket and give Alabama the ball when they wanted to move away from UNC's huddle.

Iowa just got hosed. That was a catch.

I thought the same thing, like how do you not even see that guy and proceed to block air. I know Iowa has some key guys out, but games like this are why I question the people who say they want our program to be more like Iowa.
