Is it the matchup or you just don't think UCLA is that good? They don't seem to have a ton of depth down low... I'm sure we'd have a tough time matching up with them on the perimeter, though.

Now.. if we had a time machine and knew ILL was going to beat PU on Sunday?... Hell yeah I'd root for ILL tonight. Just don't see that happening. Either way, last night was crazy good for our BTT seeding.

Meaning we'd have to play out west... PASS!!!

Maybe I just like pain by wanting to play Iowa again. And jesus we don't matchup well with them. A 3rd win over Purdue.... that would be looked upon pretty favorably.

Agree.. so at that point, I don't see that ILL is that much a factor. It's already viewed as a good win, I mean it's a top 35 road win... Go beat MSU, Iowa, and Purdue in the tourney.... boom 3 seed. Plus... I really like the conference tournaments. Last year was a blast, I hope we make another run!

I just can't fathom ILL beating Purdue at Purdue.

To be fair... right now, they are going over scouting report, shooting, getting their lift in, and having a walk through this time of year. But, undoubtedly it's effected our season.

obviously there are a million scenarios that could happen... but, I did mention... "everything holds serve" in regards to games like NW vs. RU. I can't come up with ALL the scenarios haha So many things could happen. Heck RU has two games left.

I don't agree. 22-11 seems very sketchy for a 3 seeds record(could be wrong there)... I think we need to stack more wins, much more than ILL needing to be viewed as a better win.

The bold isn't true. If ILL wins, and PSU wins... we are the 4 seed.

We aren't moving to the 3 seed line without a run in the conference tourney, regardless if ILL ends up a quad 1 win. There was also other factors as to why it took a good run in the tourney to get us in the NCAAs, last season.

If we win the BTT and beat Michigan, I'll bet we are a 3 seed. We have a good road win in ILL... it being quad 1 vs. 2, I doubt does that much in the eyes of the committee. We beat ILL when they were playing well.. and handled them really. That should sit fine enough for the committee.

Outside of not knowing what is going on with MSU/Minny.... and also with the caveat "Indiana beats Michigan" because obviously the absolute worst thing to happen would be losing Sunday and would trump anything I mention below... -Best case(imo the most realistic of the "best case scenarios")--- Michigan beats ILL tonight, PSU beats Maryland on Sun ... everything else holds serve... Iowa- 2 seed Indiana- 3 seed Michigan- 4 seed This would be a silly good set up.... We'd have to beat one of UW, Minny, or MSU to reach the Semis. -Middle case - ILL beats UM this evening... Maryland loses at PSU... Iowa- 2 seed Rutgers- 3 seed Indiana- 4 seed -Worse case -ILL beats UM... Maryland beats PSU Iowa 2 seed Rutgers 3 seed Maryland 4 seed Indiana 5 seed

We lose all tie breakers to Iowa, NW, Maryland. We can't pass those teams with help from UM or ILL tying with us.

I'm not following the need for a quad 1 win, compared to a bye in the BTT.

Because we want them to be a part of OUR group that ties other schools at the end... we swept ILL and should sweep UM.

Because I don't find it likely they'll beat Purdue on Sun, regardless of what happens tonight.

I think we want UM to win so they can be in the 8 loss group at the end. ILL plays @PU Sunday. I think they'll have 9+ losses, regardless of tonight.

Baylor? Nova? Nahhh that jersey hasn't mattered for a long, long time.

What is this suppose to show? Are you arguing the country isn't balanced? But no, it doesn't. When I watched the NBA it didn't matter. I guess that's changed?
