  1. Hope they didn't squeeze them too hard. 🤣
  2. LOL, already found such a spot....at the top of the Big Ten standings. 😎
  3. Gasaway is an Illinois grad, might be trying too hard to appear unbiased. The Athletic throwing shade at IU (yes Illinois got a vote, too) https://i.ibb.co/NKYxtN6/College-basketball-expert-predictions-Most-disappointing-team-The-Athletic.png
  4. Dainja's already come a long way with the best, Fletch. Lost 30 lbs. He's not really a true post up guy, more like Trevion Williams from Purdue. More skilled, passing than real power. Thought Clark and Rodgers looked good in their first action. Shooting shouldn't be a concern, this was only their 2nd time in the SFC and will get used to it with more game time there. Half court offense needs a lot of work but that's typical this time of year. Hawkins had 2 turnovers stepping over the end line inbounding the ball. Underwood not too happy with that. 🤣 re:Iowa, yes they will be good on offense again. Fran's really good there.
  5. They better figure out how to finish this new expanded tournament before Masters week or CBS is going to throw a fit.
  6. More of a golf/tennis school recently. Country Club U!
  7. Surprising because stats usually go all out for the hype. 🤣 Anyway, we're a football school now.

  9. The big fella is gone and won't hurt you any more. 🤣

  11. That's what I love about college hoops, new guys stepping up each season. Like I said, your questions are all completely valid here. Gonna be fun to find out the answers. Hey, for some reason T-Rank updated their projections and Illinois is now the favorite! Must be that easy schedule.... 🤣 https://barttorvik.com/conf.php?conf=B10
  12. Hey I was commenting on IU in this thread when someone else changed the topic.
  13. Uh...a "follow up" that is all about a different team? Well no doubt IU has more proven players, they bring back most of the team that came within 30 points of making it to the first weekend of the dance. TJD is do doubt more proven that just about any B1G player. Thompson's a nice role player and Johnson is good but erratic. No one knows how good freshmen will be, but I like Clark and Rodgers quite a bit. But I think your point was that Illinois has a lot of unproven talent, which again I've already agreed. LOL not going to defend that site, it's garbage.
  14. No, I had already answered it but I will post again: I think the questions you raised are all very valid so it's far from a sure thing. I expect some bumps in the road during the non-con season. Yeah, there's one in the post you quoted. But this board apparently can't auto-embed like most modern software does.
  15. BTW this board seems pretty screwed up. Can't navigate pages and lots of weird stuff going on trying to embed a pic.
  16. You asked: Tell us, why do you see Illinois being good this year? Then you're mentioned some things (that I've agreed with) about why Illinois might NOT be good. You do understand these are different things, right? https://y.yarn.co/fb90afb2-1db5-4469-b410-0b68e474ec93_screenshot.jpg
  17. Oh, we're talking about IU now? Thought you wanted to know why I thought Illinois would do well. Remember when you asked: Tell us, why do you see Illinois being good this year?
