MK finished with an offensive rating of 96.5 and it fell to 86.9 In BIG ten play.. national average is 102.9… he is a below average player and definitely not a BIG 10 starter. He had second worse offensive rating on team only behind Tamar Bates.

Ok this has gotten old. My original point is I think we should of experimented with Geronimo at the 3. Not because he would be an awesome 3 but I thought he would bring more positives than Kopp. Kopp has better stats in areas but i think Geronimo would been much better with the first unit. And yes I know Geronimo natural position is a 4 for sure. It would of also been a way to split Kopp and stew up since I believe they weren’t very good on the court together. Neither can make plays for themselves or anyone else. That makes it tough. anyways for the sake of the board I’m moving on from discussion

Kopp is not good haha I have yet to talk to anyone outside of here that thinks he should been on the court.

Ok I think it was a mistake to not view him as an option at the 3 or maybe they tried in practice and it didn’t work. I just got really tired of watching Kopp struggle 90% of time

Stew definitely went in a slump. Pretty bad Kopp still couldn’t beat his percentage on the year. Thought the change should of happened sometime a lot earlier than 9 games left.

And when we got Kopp I thought it would work but ya he didn’t live up to expectations. Thought Woodson was to loyal at the point when he should of tried Geronimo at 3 or Leal since Gallo, Rob, and Bates situation happened

Ideally both would go but regarding last year you had to keep 1 on the floor at a time for spacing and Stew shot a better percentage from 3

I believe the one big ten tournament game was first time he was in double figures since Syracuse

Don’t call it a promise I guess but He definitely laid out a plan and vision for him otherwise I’m not sure why Kopp would want to transfer to a place he wouldn’t play. Usually transfers go somewhere where they WILL play

X was fantastic down the stretch. Kopp missed a TON of wide open shots.. I think JG would of worked at the 3 even tho he isn’t a typical 3.. You keep Stew at the 2 and that keeps the floor spaced..

Haha all those guys would run circles around Kopp. All Kopp can do is stand and shoot and he wasn’t great at that

JG isn’t your conventional wing for sure but he would of gave us better minutes this year and a better chance to win then Kopp at that position in my opinion

If he wasn’t Kopp that clicked it was the fact that we starting running a lot more pick n rolls with X instead of just dumping it inside and everyone standing. we got TJD the ball in space and on lobs rolling down hill. That was the difference. Not Kopp. Kopp was a nice observer in the corner while all this was happening

Mike Woodson played Kopp because he is extremely loyal and promised Kopp a starting spot if he transferred there. In my opinion Leal is better than Kopp and got screwed as well. Kopp is so bad. Honestly don’t know how you defend him lol

Geronimo would been much better playing with 1st unit instead of playing with durr. Obviously who you are playing with on the court makes a massive difference in what you are forced to do and what role you play. Put Kopp on the 2nd unit.. yikes

And Kopp is?? What is Kopp a MAC player? He wasn’t good enough at Northwestern.. you absolutely can send 3 guys to the glass. JG wouldn’t be a great 3 because his handles are not great but he sure as heck would been better than Kopp is my point. you seem overly loyal to the coaches like you were Archie. I agree the injurys to RP and Gallo and Bates going through what he went through hurt.. Woodson has us going in the right direction but isn’t above criticism. Kopp and Stew still should of never seen the floor together as much as they did. The rotations were not great. why do people think Kopp was a good defender. Dude looked like he was in slow motion all the time. Can barely dunk at 6’7
