The East and West divisions is really hurting the conference trying to get teams into the Playoffs and costing the league money.

Kind of embarrassing for Iowa really. Played backup QB for 3 quarters and I still wasn’t sure if they were going to pull it off in the end. OSU and Penn State are both top 10 teams. The BIG East is ridiculous! I’m so tired of East and West divisions.

Penn State wins by 14-17 if Clifford didn’t get hurt.

I agree. I’m guessing Iowa makes it out the west but gets smacked in BIG title game. Penn State was the better team by a lot. Makes it that much harder now for BIG to get into playoffs with Penn State and OSU having one loss. Literally everything that could go right has gone right for Iowa. They are good top 20 team. But definitely not close to top 5 worthy.

Iowa doesn’t deserve to win. Not sure they would of had a chance if Clifford didnt get hurt.

I’ve seen very few first down runs and they aren’t running the ball up the middle on 3rd and short… what a joke Sheridan. Just awful.

Incredible play calling and creativity in this Texas and Oklahoma game! Light years ahead of Sheridan…

I loved how Tuttle ran some when he was in against Penn State. That really helped the offense a ton

That plays a factor for sure but also Penix inability to move outside the pocket and extend plays with his legs or run some is a killer. He is a sitting duck back there. If your O line isn’t good you at least want someone back there that is mobile. How many times did Clifford hurt us with his legs running/extending plays. You have to be able to do that in college football! The days of solely being a pocket passer are pretty well gone if you want to win at a high level unless your Alabama and you have the line full of 5 stars to protect the QB

Penix healthy or not it doesn’t matter it’s time for Tuttle. Penix has been awful.

Coach Allen HAS to notice the dramatic regression from popular and successful IU OC, Kalen DeBor to current OC, Nick Sheridan….. Coach Allen quickly found new OC, DeBor after former OC, Mike DeBord retired. I feel DeBord and Sheridan are cut from the same tree. This has got to be an area of focus this off season. I wouldn’t be surprised if the OL performance and play calling continued a downward spiral this season, that Coach Allen fires Sheridan or Hiller at the end of the season, if not before it’s over. It’s just a gut feeling I’ve had for some time. I’ve noticed several times after a particular poor offensive play call or set from IU, the camera zooms in on Coach Allen and he’s visibly frustrated, appearing to be questioning certain play calls. I was trying to read his lips one particular time and I swear he said, “What the HECK was that???” In all his post game interviews with Fisher, Coach Allen keeps shouldering the blame for IU’s problems this year, as any good coach should. He keeps repeating the same thing, “ Our coaches have got to do a better job of coaching and preparing these player, … and it starts with me, I’m the head coach.” I think he’s very pleased with all the coaches on the defensive side of the ball. I don’t think he’s confident with the job Sheridan and Hiller have done. Hiller definitely has got to go. I’m tired of our offensive line being bad every year. It used to actually be a strength under Wilson. Sheridan most likely gotta go as well. I’d like to see what happens with Tuttle under center though before I’m for sure but so far the offense has been way to predictable beside the Cincy game where we used some nice Mis Direction plays.

And it was 3 feet we didn’t get. I thought he had some good calls against Cincy but that call on 4th and 1 was awful! Our line sucks! Needed some Mis direction and maybe slip the TE out the back side

The West is complete TRASH

Seems like our corners are in soft coverage to much. Last year if I remember correctly I thought our corners played a lot tighter to the line of scrimmage before the snap. We have good corners need to trust them

O- line is trash in pass protection. May need a new O-Line coach. Same story every year with them since Wilson left. It’s Idaho and we can’t pass pro…

Only 10 pages on a top 30 recruit about to commit to IU? I feel like the “hype” around IU basketball has taken a hit since the last 4 years were so bad. Normally a recruit like this would be closing in on 100 pages. Everyone seems to be tired of getting their hopes up and taking more of a wait and see approach.

I’m very surprised Lander played so little

How long until Lander takes Rob spot as the backup PG? I know Rob plays solid D but shooting is awful. I feel like Lander has a lot higher potential. Rob kind of is what he is at this point being a senior and all

If you switched us and PU I’d feel like we would be right there to reach the Championship. Even tho we beat Michigan and Penn last year it’s still really hard to be able to do that with any kind of consistency with the kind of talent they are bringing in as well and having to play them on the road in front of 100,000 thousand. Beating OSU is well outside of Alabama and Clemson the hardest thing to do in college football. It be nice if we could play Michigan, Penn, and OSU every other year or so like some of the west teams.

Sad thing is the top 5 classes in BIG per average recruit ranking are all from BIG East. I feel like Re alignment needs to happen or it’s going to be really really hard for IU to ever reach BIG championship. East is brutal.
