There's a Monicals in Linton and Vincennes (just had Sunday lunch in Linton).  Used to be one in Washington (like in the '70's) where Hunan Garden is today.  Really thin and a little charred crust.  A unique taste...very good!

Also,  their house sweet & tangy dressing is fantastic.

I stopped at the one in linton a few weeks ago.

Monicals is a staple where my wife is from.

Still have some sweet and tangy dressing in the fridge. Buy a bottle every time.

It’s not bad, but not great.  It was the closest pizza place to my former house though. And agree with you on the gastrointestinal effects of Pizza Hut. A very Taco Bell type effect.

Are you familiar with Monicals Pizza?

I think it's come up in discussion before but my wife is from central Illinois and it's a dinner at least once when we visit her parents.

I was in a Domino’s waiting behind one other customer to pick up my pizza order. A third customer comes in carrying two pizza boxes and slams them down on the counter. His only comments before storming back out the door was (verbatim): “I’m contacting your corporate office for a refund. I can’t eat this. It tastes like wet dog.”

The obvious comment was made by the guy behind the counter “How does he know what wet dog tastes like.”

My answer to that was (and read between the lines on this one…): “Good thing he didn’t order Chinese.”

Domino's get alot of crap undeserving. But it isn't bad pizza at all. Just have to order right.  Extra cheese, extra cook time.

I will tell you what pizza gives me a lot of digestive issues. Pizza hut, immediately, and it would pass through a screen door window.  Tears me up like no other.

  4. So an update on my BIL. He was able to eat breakfast on his own today and kept his oxygen up while doing PT.

For context they are about 30 yrs old.

My sister and BIL live in Salt Lake City. So really far from family.  I was worried about my sister dealing with this alone, but as of now things are looking positive.

Appreciate the prayers and support.  Prognosis right now is looking good but probably going to be a long recovery.

  5. Making my wife a belated anniversary dinner. Home made crab ravioli. Yes im making the pasta, filling and the alfredo.

And Italian style cheesecake but in cupcake form. From scratch, out of my head.

I used to do something like this every valentines and anniversary day but been a few years.

Here is the cheesecake. Will have pics of ravioli if i can get one before she eats it. Lol!

  6. I think a pvc setup would work well in a small space like that.  You could get a small garden hose and a pvc fitting that would attach the hose to the pipe. Drill holes in the pvc. I would start small maybe 1/64th or 1/32 and set up a misting situation since you have so much. You can always make the holes bigger as needed.

Would have to customize for you space but this is a good video.

We had some friends from Philly staying at our place while we were in Italy and they were supposed to water our plants. I made a video for them showing how much water the tomatoes needed and directions for the other plants. It also seemed like NYC had a lot of rain while we were gone, so I felt pretty good about our plants. Buut we came back to brown and dying tomato plants and probably 30% of our flowers and herbs were toast.

I spent the morning ripping out four completely fried tomato plants and pulled about seven containers of dead flowers and herbs. I have no idea how often they watered, but would be shocked if it was more than once.

I need to set up a an irrigation system for our terrace for the future. You live an learn. At least our two cats were still alive!

Do you happen to have a spigot for a garden hose?
