I got home and took some of my frustrations out from IU football by cutting down all my Banana trees!! It was time anyway. The cold nights in the fall always get to them and then they eventually turn brown and die…. Sort of sad… Like IU Football right now…😢

You’re right… I totally agree. Those should have been wins and looking at 5-2. I’m just stating that playing in the East is alway a much tougher schedule than anyone in the West. It’s a double edge sword. You get to play the best in the nation and see what your made of as well as potentially loosing each year to those teams. Right now we just want to stop the bleeding and get a bowl bid…

I agree. Look at our schedule including quality/strength of teams in the East compared to teams in the West....It's not even close.... It's actually comical. We could very easily be 5-2 right now and looking much different. I'm including Nebraska and Maryland as "should have won" games. I put the majority of fault/blame on player error and offensive line issues. I also agree with the OL coaching change. Now we sit at 3-4 with 5 games left, including Ohio St., Penn St. and 3 games that could keep our bowl hopes alive.

We could possibly see an immediate and positive change in the play of our offense. What I mean is, maybe the players may have not liked or bought in with Hiller’s coaching. Some players may see a new face and leader with different views and philosophies and totally embrace that. You do often see that when a coach is let go mid season. Sometimes the performances improve. I guess we are about to see. I wish new OL Coach Carey, the best of luck. GO IU!

Again, I'm not worried at all about Woodson and Co.'s recruiting. Win and they will come. I'm so excited about the team the year! Honestly.....If we actually end up being as good as anticipated this year,....... Recruiting guys like him will get a whole lot easier and EXCITING!

Here's my take on this game...... I feel IU is going to make it interesting and play possibly their best game so far, will not be able to sustain it. It would be hard for the players and coaches to NOT to get up for a game of this caliber. I'm not saying we are going to win, I just think we may be saying, "Where has this kind of play been all year?" I think we beat the spread. JMO...... Remember, I've always been an optimist. GO IU!!!!!

I wouldn't surprise me. If not, the first one off the bench or at least subbed in at the first TV time out.

Yep, very sad. Ignorant and UNACCEPTABLE!🤬 My college room mate at IU was one of Kueth Dwany's AAU coaches. He was from Linton, Indiana.

I looked up the wrong player....lol. Yes I unfortunately witnessed it growing up. I remember when I was in middle school,....Martinsville did not celebrate MLK day and had to go to school. Other schools around, like Bloomington South and North did. Embarrassing and Unacceptable!

He probably was, however........ "Sigh",.... I had to re-read your post because I actually first read it as "only White players showed up". Coming from Martinsville, there has always been that negative persona of the KKK about the town, especially many decades ago. I never supported that belief then, nor will I EVER! I don't live in Martinsville anymore and haven't since 1986. I believe it has changed drastically in that regard, at least what I have seen and heard, which is a great thing.

Why are we continuously getting exposed for big pass plays in our secondary this season? I’m not trying to be negative,….really, I’m not. I’m just trying to wrap my head around all this. We are supposed to have upgrades and more speed in those areas of concern. Is it on Coach Allen or the players?

A good O-line can make and average qb look good. A great O-line can make a good QB look awesome. A mobile qb can often make up for a bad O-line. That usually leads to him getting hurt…(Penix). I think Conner has potential to be good, but our O-line makes him look below average to bad, more often than not.

The interim coach fired the defensive coordinator a week after Frost was fired….Coach Allen has to see the OLine/coaching is our poorest attribute.

Our poor secondary play has finally caught up with us.

They haven’t been the problem? Some Are you watching the same game…. Or the past 4 games? Good grief! Overall the O-line/ Hiller quite possibly, may be the main reason we end up pi$$ing season away.
