  1. I found this cute from a WKU fan board........ Has Indiana Ever seen linebackers like ours? Asking for a friend. 1 upvotes 1 Discussion robjbrown99 Posted on 11 hrs, , User Since 134 months ago, User Post Count: 10671 11 hrs 134 months 10671 This post was edited by robjbrown99 11 hours ago 1 upvotes 1 Jake1975 Posted on 100 mins, , User Since 38 months ago, User Post Count: 1000 100 mins 38 months 1000 probably not against Idaho. 0 0
  2. Right on! Besides, you know some of these guys are drawn to the year round warm weather, and beaches.
  3. We win the game if Shaq Leonard was fully healthy and playing. Hopefully he will be ready next week for Jacksonville….
  4. I’m sure Urban is in the top of many open NCAA football vacancies or potential vacancies. If Nebraska has big pockets, why wouldn’t they go after him? I’m not rooting for him OR Nebraska, but they both have history of success. Nebraska is among the most storied programs in college football history. NU claims forty-six conference championships and five national championships (1970, 1971, 1994, 1995, and 1997), and has won nine other national championships the school does not claim.
  5. ......a short article just recently posted by an Idaho sports writer. https://apnews.com/article/college-football-sports-washington-idaho-indiana-hoosiers-c95aa761c28ce52957879611a814e8f4
  6. I would just like our RBs to do a little more bouncing off, spin or cut backs when they see early enough that their “hole/assignment” has closed. 3/4 of their D was crashing the box so if we could find a way to redirect and get outside, wide for more yardage. What would I know? I’m just a HS teacher.🤓😂
  7. I also remember when Bedford was thrust into that position due to injury. He came in green, but quickly turned into a major OL player.
  8. Yep I read where Illinois used an extra man up on the D line too.
  9. I know.....but at some point we have to run. The same thing happened to Purdue vs. Penn St. Purdue was actually able to run the ball a little vs. Penn St.
  10. Here's what I don't understand.....The O-line did a good job of protecting Bazelak long enough to find open receivers..(way longer that last year). Why couldn't we hold a couple of blocks long enough for Shivers to spit through for at least 5 yards....?
  11. What say you? I will take the first stab..... Illinois' game plan was to take away the run and expose IU's pass game with a new, QB. IMO, Idaho will most definitely focus on reducing Bazelak's ability to pass at a high % as well as completion %'s. HOPEFULLY, (in theory)...this should lead for more opportunities to see IU's run game. I have a sneaky feeling that Shivers may have a better game this weekend..... With that being said, Shivers has stated that he is downhill back. His "low to the ground" presence is an advantage, but he has to get a whole long enough for him to do that. I would like to see all our RB's instinctively, bouncing outside once in a while to try to find more a few more yards.
  12. I will second that…. I dated a girl for about a semester, a year after I graduated HS. She was an Alpha Phi at Purdue. I was at IU and I would come up and visit her on the weekends. I always thought then and still do…..” How could anyone want to live on this ugly campus, let alone go to Purdue?!”
  13. Section 26, row 56. They were, 26 row 51 or 52. A guy with a orange Curbelo jersey and a guy with a black T with a black hat and beard….
  14. I forgot to mention….. I love watching the complete melt down of a small group of rude, mouthy and arrogant Illini fans three rows in front of us last night!!!! Ohhh, it was PRICELESS!
  15. I was at the game last night. At halftime, we were hustling out to the truck for a couple of beers. I told my son-in-law…”I’m staying till midnight to watch IU win this game!” The hour and a half ride home was much sweeter with the win.
  16. I don’t think they are as bad as you think! Illinois’ RB is probably top 10 in the nation and top 2 in the BIG 10. They are going to surprise some teams and win some games. We may be looking back later in this season and find out that this was a huge win.
  17. I stayed up and watched the entire game. I came away with two observations that sort of stood out to me. I was impressed with Purdue's passing game and receivers vs. a Penn St. defense. I was unimpressed with Penn St.'s overall play. Purdue looked to be the better team the majority of the game and controlled the clock until it was most important. Penn St. looked sluggish, uncomfortable and played catch up the entire game.
  18. Yep....It depends on how many people you are having. lol They range from 5'x5' up to 13' x13' and on.... I'm in gate 11.
  19. Same here.... I'm a 93' IU grad. Graduated HS in 86. My daughters are both IU grads and love using their cards for everything. They both love the new idea.
  20. This new 2022 "cashless" payment system starting this year is gonna pi$$ some people off. Especially fans that don't like using cards..... I'm not one of those fans, but I can totally see a fan waiting in long line and not paying attention or forgot and getting turned away. Yikes, especially if they have been drinking! Cashless Payments Football fans should also plan ahead so they can take advantage of IU’s new cashless payment set-up at all IU Athletics home sporting events. To create more points of sale and shorten fans’ wait times, IU Athletics is no longer accepting cash at ticket booths, concessions areas, and merchandise locations at its home events. All major credit cards will be accepted, and Apple Pay and Google Pay will also be an accepted means of purchase for concessions and merchandise. The only exception to the cashless payment change is for parking; for fans who don’t pre-purchase their gameday parking (Purchase Parking Here), all IU Athletics surface lots and grass lots are cash only.
  21. Yeah, we have season tix with the HS tennis coach. He just told me that they have a boys match Friday, but plans on making the game by kick off.... That would stress me out! Even though I have a parking pass, it would take forever to find an open spot!
  22. Got it!........What would make it a little easier is if you were playing @ Bloomington S. or N..... You would just drive to the game and not ride the bus...lol
  23. How you going to do that C? You've got "Friday Night Lights" home game vs. Pekin Eastern Muskteers with a 7 o'clock kick..... You hoping to make the second half? lol YIKES!
