Things that can easily change that could go a long way: -stop sagging off perimeter threats when you have a capable, all American rim protector who is allowed to sit under the basket all day. -get Bates and Kopp designed looks on the offensive end (they are our worst defensive players, if they aren’t making an impact on offense, what’s the point of them being out there??). -Stop allowing JHS to take long range pull-up jumpers immediately into a possession. It details the offense and prevents any sort of rhythm from being made. -Maybe apply a press here and there? All teams seem to speed us up but never the other way around. Might be nice since we’re always playing from behind lol. -increase the volume of 3’s. Anything greater than a 6 point deficit feels insurmountable when the game plan is to stuff it inside and have TJD try and chuck up a shot again 3 defenders.

So frustrating to think that for how bad they’ve played the last 2 games, they were still so winnable. Limit a couple insanely stupid turnovers, make a couple free throws and you walk away 2-0 and feeling fine. Those issues don’t have anything to do with Race and X being out. This team still has the talent to be good but we need to get back on track with our defense. This team is totally different when they can cause turnovers and get easy buckets in transition (ex- UNC game). Not sure why Banks didn’t see the floor given how poorly Reneau and Geronimo played. Feels like he couldn’t pick up worse fouls than them, probably shoots better from the perimeter, is faster/athletic, and can beat players off the dribble better.

Game over, this is pathetic.

Would be pleasantly surprised if we win this game, which is sad. Ridiculous turnovers and decision making. Northwestern playing smart, team basketball. Need to lock down on D and get transition buckets.

Not sure if this woman has a HSN account, but if she does and is reading this, thank you for making that poster! It’s reasons like this that Liam says in his Daily Hoosier interview that IU fans, “are crazy too, and that’s NOT the same with every school that’s recruiting me right now.” With no mention of Texas and no visits planned, feels like we can really separate ourselves from the pack and hopefully secure a commitment. Especially since I feel like Texas will get a good coach and their staff will make sure to prioritize a local kid like Liam.

Would be a bit of a head scratcher to choose the local college after you just announced you’re leaving to go to a Florida prep school, but I’ve given up trying to understand the logic of teenagers a long time ago lol.

Not ideal he’s going to visit Maryland but that to me gives me the impression either he and his family feel they should give the hometown school one final look or the coaching staff requested he visit because they feel he’s headed to IU.

I could be wrong but pretty sure he said “top teams at 6pm” on the 25th, not a top 6. Wouldn’t shock me if he had like a Top 8 or more based on how many schools are interested and visits he’s taken/lined up.

I was talking about Xavier booker commenting on the photo. He said “hmm”, which is why I said I think Booker is just teasing IU fans but maybe the visit helped move us back into serious consideration with him.

I feel like it’s a giant tease but he did comment on this post. Visit this week gave us a chance now?

I can’t imagine the reaction if this dude takes the final scholarship and we have no room for TJD… Unless some in-state kid like Leal volunteered his scholarship up if Dennis committed too, I don’t understand why we’re still involved here.
