  1. Apologies if this was mentioned already, but the NY Post wrote an article about St. John’s recruiting and when talking about Chris Ledlum, they singled out Indiana as a “major suitor” for him. Not sure though if IU is mentioned solely because of the Knicks/Woodson connection since Ledlum is from New York.
  2. Obviously need depth at the 5 and sounds like he has a great attitude and appreciation for IU. A little surprised they took the commitment so early though when the transfer portal is heating up and plenty of options to consider. Guess it’s also safe to say the whole Flory/Queen/Cyril reclass never got any legs with adding Sparks and potentially Shedrick.
  3. I’m not getting into a debate over who is the top “insider” or who should be deemed an “insider” at all lol. My post was to suggest that just like this site, there’s certain guys that when they post, you take it with added value. On that site, he’s definitely one of them.
  4. For sure, I’m always skeptical of rumors too. I interpreted it as Bates was selling IU gear that only players/staff receive from Adidas, thus suggesting he is moving on and wanted to make $ off exclusive pieces alumni would go crazy for. IMO would be weird to post something like that if he was just selling “scoop” t shirts like he does year round.
  5. Went over there and that post did come from basically the Coach SS of that site, FWIW. I appreciate anyone that wanted to come and play for IU but I’m tired of talking about player potential and upside. Guys like Bates/Geronimo/Leal have been given more than enough time to prove to the staff their value and how they fit a specific need. Woodson was a short-term hire and brought on IMO to return Indiana to a nationally relevant brand. He’s done that by getting us to the tournament twice, having us ranked in the top 25 almost the whole year, having a B10 FOTY and potentially NPOY in TJD (and maybe 2 first-round NBA picks there too). Now it’s about getting guys in the portal that have proven track records and will compete for that 7-8 man rotation. We have a lot of positive momentum and resources to be good, we should utilize it.
  6. Was interviewed recently, said he still plans on taking a visit to IU. Believe he’s friends with Dylan Harper.
  7. On a more positive note, he apparently liked this tweet today about Flory visiting IU again.
  8. Checked that post. They were just referencing On3 predictions with him, not some inside scoop. I would also take On3’s predictions with a grain of salt. Fairly certain those forecasts are based on a formula that site made (they take into account distance to home, # of visits, fan engagement, etc) as compared to it being like Rivals and 247 where journalists log “crystal balls”. On3 does crystal balls too but I think it’s only a select few writers that are given that power.
  9. Obviously not sure if he watched the game but Asa did repost a pic of Jeff Goodman saying JHS is a lotto pick on his Insta page.
  10. Pretty clear Liam genuinely appreciates our fandom. If we can close out this season strong, I think he’s ours to lose.

  12. https://www.on3.com/news/recruits-go-on-record-about-their-recruitment/ Article says IU is one of the schools recruiting him the hardest. Says he wants to visit IU, Miami, and Maryland. FWIW, he mentioned Woodson as one of the coaches he has the closest relationship with (did not mention Miami or Maryland).
  13. https://kansas.rivals.com/news/recruiting-roundup-latest-with-rakease-passmore-and-a-futurecast Recent article on his recruitment. Ironically, On3 updated their prediction not long ago to IU as the favorite.
  14. https://www.on3.com/news/intel-is-a-reclass-in-play-for-4-star-pf-derik-queen/ Assuming this is why predictions have been coming through.
  15. Must be committing soon if Maryland insiders are logging predictions. That sucks.
  16. Things that can easily change that could go a long way: -stop sagging off perimeter threats when you have a capable, all American rim protector who is allowed to sit under the basket all day. -get Bates and Kopp designed looks on the offensive end (they are our worst defensive players, if they aren’t making an impact on offense, what’s the point of them being out there??). -Stop allowing JHS to take long range pull-up jumpers immediately into a possession. It details the offense and prevents any sort of rhythm from being made. -Maybe apply a press here and there? All teams seem to speed us up but never the other way around. Might be nice since we’re always playing from behind lol. -increase the volume of 3’s. Anything greater than a 6 point deficit feels insurmountable when the game plan is to stuff it inside and have TJD try and chuck up a shot again 3 defenders.
  17. So frustrating to think that for how bad they’ve played the last 2 games, they were still so winnable. Limit a couple insanely stupid turnovers, make a couple free throws and you walk away 2-0 and feeling fine. Those issues don’t have anything to do with Race and X being out. This team still has the talent to be good but we need to get back on track with our defense. This team is totally different when they can cause turnovers and get easy buckets in transition (ex- UNC game). Not sure why Banks didn’t see the floor given how poorly Reneau and Geronimo played. Feels like he couldn’t pick up worse fouls than them, probably shoots better from the perimeter, is faster/athletic, and can beat players off the dribble better.
