  1. Slater posted this yesterday, so Rabby probably got the inside scoop from him (or vice versa).
  2. Reeves in a heart beat. That would alleviate the pressure to be a reliable and consistent volume scorer from Galloway/Gunn and wouldn’t take up a scholarship. Wilcher is definitely intriguing but I would probably prefer taking our chances at landing one of Fland/Harper/transfer portal stud to run the offense next year. That said, with the immediate transfer rule, I’d be happy to add any of them since it’s really hard to gauge next years roster.
  3. Saw on BTB someone suggested an IU rivals writer is hearing its down to us and Duke. I don’t believe it but would be sweet (I personally think it’s Rutgers, Duke, and IU in that order). Really have to wonder how this recruitment would have gone had his older brother not gone to Rutgers/he not be from New Jersey. No chance he would have even considered Rutgers lol. FWIW, I occasionally see Ron Sr.’s tweets since he’s pretty active and he told one fan, “Woody is my guy but it’s Dylan’s decision”. I think if Woody and Ya can sell Dylan on writing his own story/creating his own legacy, we can pull this off.
  4. https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/ranking-the-contenders-five-star-guard-dylan-harper https://www.insidethehall.com/2024-indiana-basketball-recruiting-board/ Article from last week from Rivals suggests we’ve jumped Duke for second place. Also looks like inside the hall update their hot board and he’s jumped to second. Would be incredible if the staff can pull it off.
  5. https://247sports.com/Article/Liam-McNeeley-Texas-Longhorns-Indiana-Hoosiers-Alabama-Montverde-210372611/Amp/ The staff is pushing for him to return for another official visit according to the article. I think it’s a strong possibility as he mentioned he doesn’t have anything scheduled yet. Dont want to jump to conclusions but IU being the only school he’s looking to visit a second time means he may want to return just to make sure he’s comfortable and ready to commit.
  6. Sorry, to clarify, I think they all play different roles in my opinon: Reneau: 5/4 (mostly a 4) Asa: 4/3 (mostly a 4) Liam: 3 My concern is those 3 are talented enough to start, but I just don’t think after playing this season at the 4 that they would move Reneau to the 5. He’s not trying to be an NBA center. So then becomes the question off is it a good look to have any of these guys come off the bench when we’re trying to get them to the league and recruit future Montverde stars.
  7. My biggest concern with this recruitment is Reneau. He’s not projected to be a first round/early second round pick for next year so I would assume he would stay for his Junior season. It’s clear the staff would love to have both Asa and Liam but I struggle with figuring out how they utilize Reneau in this picture. He’s too good to not have major minutes, and I don’t see the staff pushing him to play the 5 when we’re looking at guys like Flory and trying to get Reneau to the league. Missing out on one of them obviously makes this a non issue. A good problem to have nonetheless haha.
  8. https://247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/article/dylan-harper-duke-rutgers-number-one-auburn-indiana-kansas-210257691/ If I didn’t know Duke had been recruiting him so long, I would say there’s a good chance we’ve jumped them based on his feedback. Fingers crossed they are doing the same thing with Liam and pushing to get him back on campus again.
  9. As I mentioned earlier, I can say reading his social media responses that his older brother is actively recruiting against us (he seemed supportive of Duke but legit commented on his IU Insta post something like, “trash jersey”). That said, I checked the dads Twitter page since he responds to fans and I guess he suggested that he stopped asking Dylan about the recruiting process a while back. Also he responded to multiple fan bases saying “his decision” so I think his parents are more understanding. Rutgers sounds like the team to beat IMO but a final 5 of just one NJ/East coast school leads me to believe he may prefer writing his own story instead of being known as Ron Harper Jr.‘s brother.
  10. I think the perceived favorites were Rutgers and Duke by a significant margin but MM commitment might have bridged that gap. He obviously took notice and his belief in Coach Woodson leads me to think we’re in a better spot than most assumed. If Rutgers didn’t have a solid 2024 class already and Duke wasn’t Duke, I’d say we have a really good shot at winning this one. Duke and Rutgers have been on him a longer time, and I fear his older brother is going to be actively recruiting against us with all his power. Wonder if Woodson would push for a reclass given we could use a dynamic scoring guard like him for next season.
  11. Making this dude lose all credibility after this recruitment is the cherry on top for me lmao
  12. I think it was on BTB but someone has a connection with someone close to X and apparently was able to see a screenshot of him and Ware talking during the point in the recruitment when he was considering going to Bama. i definitely recall that he sent the screenshot for people to view
  13. Not getting my hopes up but it is interesting that Hunter deleted that radar tweet, X tweets out fingers crossed and they are friends so I’m sure they’ve shared things with each other.
  14. Wonder what the dude who saw the X text messages between him and Ware is hearing right now lol.
  15. My gut says Kansas unless the staff was able to sell him on the idea of being a primary or secondary option and leaving doubt that Kansas would give him such a large role. Originally committing to Duke to me means that being part of a big brand and a team that could win a national title is important. Also probably have more NIL $ to offer. I hope I’m wrong but we’ve rarely won recruitments like this and have yet to see any of these people flip their predictions.
