  1. I really wonder how this recruitment would have gone if Reneau was set to go to the NBA/graduate/play the 5 next year. Early on it definitely felt like an IU/Georgia battle. Seems like things cooled because of playing time concerns and how he would be utilized.
  2. I would hope the staff is reminding guys like McNeeley that the portal also provides arguably better talent and leadership than committing entirely to a freshman heavy 24’ class. So even if we miss out on a couple guys, getting like 2-3 of Liam/Queen/Givens/Fland/Boateng is enough to create a solid foundation for our staff to identify the biggest needs in the off-season and fill that with quality talent. It’s pretty clear between the immediate eligibility with the portal and our NIL $ that we wouldn’t be lying when we say we can completely reconstruct the roster for next year. Just obviously need a couple to take that leap of faith.
  3. Hopefully Woody closed today and just waiting for the leak to come out soon.
  4. I was partially joking but this is an actual quote from the article: “On Tuesday night, 247Sports National Analyst Travis Branham joined the ‘Sources Say Podcast’ — part of the Kentucky Sports Radio On3.com site. Among other topics, Branham mentioned that Fland could fall in the category of ‘like not love’ prospects for the Wildcats. “If they want them, you can get him,” Branham said. ” … I do believe Kentucky is the leader for that recruitment, going head-to-head with Indiana. “Gauging the 2025 recruits will be very valuable … do we have a legitimate shot at them, can we actually get them? Is that worth passing on some of these other guys?” https://hoosierillustrated.com/indiana-basketball-going-head-to-head-with-kentucky-for-five-star-guard/
  5. My gut says he’s in the transfer portal by next summer lol
  6. I think Travis is technically a national recruiting guy but based in Kentucky so he gets good intel from the BBN folks. If it’s in fact an IU/UK battle then I hope our staff is reminding him that we lose our starting PG after this year and will need someone to fill the void. Idk who the starting PG for Kentucky will be this year (probably Wagner) but I’ve yet to see a single mock draft that has Dillingham being a lotto/1st rounder, so I would assume he would be the starting PG his sophomore season. With all the underclassman/ guards they have, I really wonder if Boogie would be willing to wait it out until he has a better idea of their roster construction…
  7. Also saw this on the BTB board: “FWIW, UK 247 beat reporter Travis Branham re Boogie Fland: Boogie Fland visit went really well. UK leads, but going head to head with Indiana. IU's whole staff is flying in to visit him tonight, to try and turn things around from the UK visit.”
  8. Pretty sure Rabjohns and him are close friends, so I would assume the IU social media team is using that connection to their advantage.

  10. How badly do we want Liam? More likes/reposts about his arrival in 20 minutes than Kansas fans over 4 days.
  11. Nice find! Couple other things to feel good about: -Other than Queen posting a pic of the posters on his bed, he didn’t post anything else from his Kansas visit. He definitely did for his IU and Maryland visits FWIW. -Liam clearly follows IU fan accounts or searches his name on Twitter. Anyway, I’ve seen him like plenty of tweets recently about what our recruiting class could be and how important he is to making that come to fruition. He’s definitely aware that him committing first could cause a domino effect.

  13. Have no idea how credible this person is but nice to hear.
  14. I don’t have a screenshot but he did a similar graphic for Bama visits but looks like that got removed too. I wouldn’t think anything of it.
  15. For sure. I think the CB predictions I posted earlier show that there was a lot of momentum earlier but has since stalled. Obviously him taking another visit with Liam, (who I would assume DQ feels is likely IU bound) says a lot about where this stands. Like I said earlier, I think IU has a deeper/stronger pitch, while Maryland’s only real sell is staying close to home. Plus look at their roster construction, they’ll basically have 3 centers returning for next season. IU can easily say Ware is NBA bound and you have a clear path to 30+ minutes if you come here.
