  1. Andrej Stojakovic, the "shooter" Goodman was certain we needed to get and so you'd think must be a transfer in high demand across the country, is staying in the Bay Area and has committed to Cal.
  2. Nothing wrong with a good IPA. Myself, I'm partial to a big bold west coast style rather than a juicy NEIPA. The issue is that IPAs are overrepresented in the market. It's hard to find breweries offering a good bock, saison or Belgian, though it's easier than it used to be. Similarly, there's nothing wrong with having two excellent frontcourt players, even alongside a big three. The problem last year wasn't our starters, it was having no inventory in the backcourt to provide balance. We have that this year, and Goode is one more solid option on the perimeter.
  3. Visited that place last summer, really cool grounds. Came home with some gin I tried on the tour and loved right away, and I've never been a gin guy.
  4. Necessary vs sufficient. Nobody hangs a banner in the offseason. But what you accomplish in the offseason can make it far more likely you'll hang a banner when the time comes. Something about preparing to win, not just wanting to win, and all that. Everyone agrees winning games is what matters. Landing good players helps you win games. That's why commitments are worth celebrating.
  5. No shot at Goodman is unneccessary. If you felt Bardo was talking about you, that might be a tell.
  6. Huh, can't imagine why anyone would feel the impulse to dunk on comments like this... Brother, there won't be any games until November. Good things are happening right now. We might have a dynamic, playmaking backcourt for the first time since Yogi left. If you think the very real shift in how Woodson & staff are recruiting and building their roster is just donors buying recruits, I'm not sure what Indiana Basketball could do to make you happy this spring, or summer. Maybe sit things out for a while. Replying back to downplay every piece of good news that might happen over the next six months sounds exhausting.
  7. Teri Moren gets another from the portal. This looks to be her Sara Scalia, 39% career shooter from 3, on over 5 attempts per game. Honorable Mention All Big Ten last season a sophomore.
  8. Mack still out there recruiting and selling the program.
  9. Very excited for this to happen, so I can found out what new holes Goodman will find in the roster.
  10. Because if launching a petition is your honest reaction to something as trivial as a basketball season, then in the immortal words of Anthony Leal, you guys gotta chill.
  11. Twitter is a dying place. I still use it because that's where most of my follows remain, and I mostly stick to media figures and prominent fan accounts. It's valuable to get breaking news, and to get instant reactions that make watching a game a communal event. But for true social interaction I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Ads are getting worse by the day, and bots have gone from just suggesting porn to actual porn. It's a gross place, in several different ways. I say all that to say that most of our players, Carlyle and Rice included, aren't present much on Twitter but are more active on other social media platforms like Instagram.
  12. The "true fans" comment was about an as if-the-shoe-fits moment as I can remember. By and large, the people I saw take exception were those already quite vocal that they were out on Woodson. Including a certain host of a postgame podcast. I'll agree the comment didn't need to be said, at least not by the head coach, who needs to be above that level of discourse. But I also know we had fans literally creating petitions on change.org and emailing the BOT to call for Woodson's job. Pitchforks and torches were out for program legend Quinn Buckner, and even Armond Hill was catching strays just for being caught on camera next to Woodson during games. Wild stuff, and deserving of being called out, if not by that person in that moment. If anyone feels targeted by Woodson's "true fans" comments, it might be worth taking a moment of introspection and asking yourself why. I have no problem at all with Galloway and Leal responding the way they did, in that moment with the biggest platform they'll have.
  13. lol. I think it far likelier the players are just tired of hearing too. Speak what you want as a fan, that's your right. But Leal and Galloway responding they way they did is the most natural response in the world, no pot stirring by Woodson or inability to take criticism needed.
  14. Old friend Miro Little is in the transfer portal from Baylor.
  15. Transfer Portal is still open... But no, I don't think that's significant, just the numbers those guys wore at their previous school. Myles Rice also wore 4 at WSU, and that's available.
  16. Indiana not mentioned here, would say we're not involved with TJ Power going forward.
  17. Goode. He's already proven capable of playing the exact role we need in the Big Ten. With Anderson you're hoping it translates playing up a couple levels from the ASUN, the 26th ranked conference on Torvik.
  18. The biggest Fake Tough guy in the Big Ten transfers to Fake Tough U. Perfect fit, no notes.
  19. The last video of Goodman I saw, he was saying Mgbako wasn't a good shooter last year and Woodson should have gone all in for Andrej Stojakovic in the portal. Because the pieces won't fit without a shooter like that. 3P% 3PPG 3PP40 Player A 32.7% 3.3 5.8 Player B 32.7% 4.6 6.8 Player C 32.0% 4.3 6.8 Two of these three guys are on Indiana's roster next year. The other is Stojakovic. Luke Good was 38.9% from three last year, on 4.1 attempts per game, 8.2 per 40 minutes. If he does commit, can't wait to see the goalposts move once again.
  20. For those who like to count chickens before they've hatched: Bart Torvik currently has Indiana ranked 21 overall with our roster as it stands. Luke Goode would project to have the highest ORating on our team, with 125, on 36% of available minutes, and would bump our overall ranking to 17.
