  1. We've had bad fruit flies in the house a few times. It's a hazard when you have small pets, and they don't finish all the treats you give them. The traps we set didn't seem to work, so I took out the extension on the vacuum and started spot clearing flies from the walls and furniture. Makes a real satisfying tink when you pick one of and it gets sucked down the hose.

IU gave some BS excuse. I’m guessing they’re slow playing him to see if they get in a good spot with any other guards during the dead period.

Scotty Middleton just entered the portal. Maybe the long rumored Bruce Thornton is about to do the same. But this sounds all too familiar of this staff's turning up their nose at a good player because they only want great players.

I don't know Walker's game, or if he's the type of player we need. But there was enough mutual interest to set up the visit. Don't see the point in dropping just a visit from a guy at a position of need. Better be real sure you have a bigger fish on the line. (reel sure?)

At least the big ten will finally win it all now.

Having said that, every person who is responsible for our embarrassing program should be forced to attend the final four wearing purdue gear.

It's been a while since I visited a Purdue board. Do they have Indiana fans on there pretending to actually be Purdue fans? Because that would be super embarrassing.

Look. I agree with you. There's a lot about the Purdue program that should embarrass anyone. Fletcher Loyer's flop. Mason Gillis's DUI. Zach Edey's elbows and truck sticking people in the lane. A large surplus of guys who unfortunately Look Like That. But you just made a Final Four! Probably the first in your lifetime! Cheer up! It's not like those previous three years, when you embarrassingly lost to a double digit seed, right? At least that won't happen again...

    ....

    right?

  4. I really think if they had another minute or two, we would've had them. Just too much to do too late. The Raven Johnson three was the key play, she misses that I bet things go differently. Amazing halftime adjustment, both coach and players. I'm disappointed we won't see Mack or Sara wear the uniform again, but have a ton of confidence in Teri Moran and the program going forward. Can't wait to see what's next.

Found the foodies thread! If you live near Fort Wayne, you need to go visit the Union Street Market at Electric Works, the beautifully redone GE building that sat vacant for 80 years. Great NYC style pizza place, Johnny Ox, plus other great locally connected places. Very cool place, couple of breweries in there as well.

You had me at "breweries". Just made a trip to 2Toms Indy location to stock up for this weekend's games.

Congratulations. You were right. You won a miserable '23-'24 basketball season

To be fair. I don't believe anyone was elated about the hire.

This was the text I sent a buddy of mine when it was announced. I was never thrilled with the hire. But then there was promise early on and I had a lot of fun last season especially. This season wasn't great, the few good wins happened too late to matter, and recruiting is a real concern. But letting that upset me the way it has some on here does no one any good. It's very easy to still be happy when good things happen for the program, like some of these recruits we're about to land, and to hope for a successful coming season.

  7. Call him Mack if you can't remember Mgbako. Or just learn Mgbako. It's six letters. There's a basic level of respect that goes into learning someone's name. This weird defense that you can't be bothered to do so reveals the disrepect inherent in the nickname.

No, I don't think Mgbako would like being called "Taco" to his face, even a little bit. You can disagree, but as long as there's any question about it, let's err on the side of being kind, shall we?

eh but there is a negative connotation with the incident that happened. You may be able to get away with it within a friend circle, but it's fairly distasteful as a fan to call him that. No Purdue fan calls Isaac Haas Herpes, or Caleb Swan-ganga.

Agreed. It's weird that posters on here use a nickname for one of our own players based on possibly the lowest point in a young man's life. That's something you'd expect to read on a rival's message board - GBI or H&R - not here on HSN.

  9. Galloway and Leal were injured to close the year. Ware is going pro. Gunn, Banks, and Sparks are transferring. Newton is redshirting. You've got just five scholarship guys left, and two of them are out of eligibility. A few extra reps for Cupps, Reneau, and Mgbako (assuming he doesn't go pro too) isn't worth it. And I say that quite apart from any recruting needs. Even with a full class, I don't think there'd be a point to playing in the NIT with this roster. When the loss came, it would be just one more chance for fans to be upset, and we've had enough of those already. Let the season end.
