  1. Why not tell Ware to never dribble the ball up the court? I get that he was out ahead of the crowd a little, and it sucks to wait for the other team to get back on D and make the safe pass to a guard, but isn't the best case scenario of him dribbling up court that he then takes his time and carefully passes to a guard?
  2. This is why Big Ten refs suck. Neb fans, players, and coach whined about some clear calls and they get a gift on what was clearly an offensive foul and makes MM sit.
  3. Man, I will be scared every time Malik throws one of those passes.
  4. It's not hard to find it playing online. I'm generally willing to pay, but big ten plus is just a bridge too crappy.
  5. Bad guys are getting away with ridiculous screens every time down the floor.
  6. Would love to see Ware just catch that rather than launch it.
  7. If we could have squeezed 5 good minutes out of Gunn or Banks, we beat kansas. I have to assume developing guys to play those minutes is Woody's priority in a game like this. Given our history this year, I wouldn't mind seeing that happen happen when we're up 20, but I guess coach trusts guys more than I do.
  8. Huh? See Gunn being benched in previous games. See the same for Banks. I don't even know who you're trying to criticize in this one.
  9. I watched on my phone, so I couldn't exactly tell how much contact there was on a given play, especially around the arms and hands, but the foul discrepancy seems entirely justified. We spent the day shooting in the paint and they shot jumpers. If anything, I feel like they were letting our big men get hammered in the paint - all the calls came on drives. We also held them to below 30% from 3. With a couple of exceptions, I think we guarded their outside shots decently. Wish we could have forced more turnovers, hit our damn free throws and hit a couple more 3s. If we hit 70% from the line and 30% from 3, we win by 11.
  10. I probably said something like that about him after his sophomore year. It's amazing to me how much more athletic he became and how much touch around the rim he developed. I don't think of those as things you going to learn in college, and he did. Given how much he improved in those areas, I'm also surprised he wasn't drafted a good bit higher.
  11. Some variation of your last two lines comes up all the time here, and it's just wrong. No one is suggesting that refs are so bad that one team doesn't even have a chance to win, but if the refs are calling things against one team, then the other team has to win by more than just one. That's what the complaints are about. If you broke down last yesterday's game, do you honestly think it would be exactly even? If it's not, then one team, maybe it was even us, received points that they should not have. There's no way that all the calls refs make in a given game even out perfectly. One team is disadvantaged and it make it harder for them to win that game. I certainly agree that refs aren't against us, or anyone else, but I do think successful teams get the benefit of the doubt more than they deserve. We haven't reached that level in quite a while, so that works against us when we play a team like Kansas. I also think some coaches are more effective than others at lobbying refs. We haven't had one of those coaches in the 20 years I have been an IU fan. I also think some players are good at lobbying refs and some are so bad at it that they probably cost themselves calls (eg. Xavier Johnson). And, some players get a reputation (De'Ron Davis comes to mind) and get whistled for things that a lot of other guys are getting away with. As a whole, yes, I think those things add up to the calls going against us more often than the other way around. Never so bad that we don't have a chance, but we sometimes have a lesser chance that the play on the court dictates.
  12. I want to see that no call on Malik again.
  13. You telling me if our guy had his arms diagnonal like that and hot a guy going up it wouldn't be a foul?
  14. ... saved our offensive efficiency number by not getting a last second shot off!
  15. No. Why did we slow that down. That was the perfect time to hope for a 2 for 1.
  16. Man, a rule that would have allowed the refs to overturn that goal-tending call on them seems crazy. We had the rebound and were in a good spot for a put back, if they took that away from us by making a bad goal tending call and then took that away from us too, that seems unjust.
  17. Ware is an even-keel guy, that's fine. I kind of prefer it. But, I would love, just once at the right time, for him to dunk on someone and give a TJD flex. Place would go crazy.
  18. I would love a rule where you review replays of guys whining about calls, and if it was a clear call, like that dude raking Walker across the arms, he gets a T.
  19. Good start. Gotta figure out something better to do with the ball if they are going to basically double Ware before he even gets the ball. Would have loved to see Ware throw the ball of the dude's foot there. Don't feel like you see that as much as you used to.
  20. Interesting that Cupps took that off-balanced jumper. To my mind he hasn't been looking to shoot up to this point in the season, that suggests to me that he has it in his head (I would assume because Woodson told him) to shoot more.
  21. Granted, we're getting our asses kicked, but listening to these announcers talk about Auburn, I'm thinking they must be about 30-0 so far this year and back-to-back national champs.
  22. Maybe our guy got caught in the net? I didn't see that.
  23. They called basket interference? I'm not sure.
  24. I missed the beginning - is every one but X and Newton playing?
