  1. I don't know the letter of the law here, does it matter that the Auburn kid stepped forward into MM?
  2. When you were watching for the first time, you felt good that we were about to get a bucket? If you did, then I'm good with agreeing to disagree, but I'd be absolutely shocked if he's been as high as 20% on that shot at this point in his IU career.
  3. I don't have time to re-watch that one right now, but that's very possibly it. Is that a shot you want him to take? Has he made shots from there more than 10% of the time? Even if that's him catching the ball right there, I don't want him shooting it, but I remember it as him driving to that spot, elevating and looking just like Kobe right up until you see the flight of the ball. Again, great shot for Kobe to take, pretty good shot for JHS to take, I wish Kopp would have taken those. Terrible shot for Gunn.
  4. That's still wishful thinking to say he's calming down on his shot. He launched a crazy mid-range jumper that would have been a great shot for Kobe, but was terrible for him. Two made 3's doesn't convince me he's found his range. The rest of his game is really coming along, though.
  5. That was not my experience. Were there different levels of subscriptions? I use Firefox with my adblocker on (despite their warnings that I needed to turn it off, things worked just fine with it on) and it showed zero ads in the replay. Even live, it just had an annoying we will be back logo and no ads.
  6. Don't forget about the rocket pass he threw to Gunn that Superman himself couldn't have caught.
  7. First few games, I feel like Ware's rebounds were just him being tall. Now he's going to get them. MM hasn't gotten enough credit for doing the same all year.
  8. That might have been the single worst moving screen I have ever seen and it goes uncalled - unreal.
  9. I think you're both ignoring that a blowout is going to have a pretty big impact on efficiencies.
  10. The graphic you posted earlier does not support that. Efficiency is just a slightly fancier fg%.... which is improved when you dunk all over weak competition.
  11. No way Georgia is making it. Conference championships matter.
  12. Does anyone know how this show works - are they going to give us an hour of BS and reveal the teams at 12:50 or do they get right to it because other outlets will get the info?
  13. That's fair. But, they had OSU #2 two weeks ago. I don't understand how you could drop them out of the top 6 with a 6 point loss to the number 1 team on a road field.
  14. The AP got things just about right. I'd probably put OSU over Georgia, but they nailed the rest. Hope the committee follows suit.
  15. I think you really have to emphasize past years to see an argument for Alabama over FSU.
  16. For sure, but it becomes less consequential. If the argument right now was between Ole Miss and Oklahoma, I just wouldn't care: either team would be out in the first round or two and unless it's my team on the bubble, I just don't care. Similar to Bubble teams in March, I care a lot when it's us, but hardly pay attention when it isn't. Am I correct that the SEC's biggest out of conference win is Missouri beating currently 25th ranked K-Sate by 3 at Missouri? Why are we so convinced that either Georgia or Alabama is so good? Because of the number of 5 star recruits?
  17. I think you have to give a fair bit of weight to being a conference champion. That puts OSU and Georgia out. If you don't put any weight at all on that, then I agree, those two have very strong arguments, but as it stands, they're out.
  18. Missing from your statement is that Bama struggled with a bad Auburn team and only beat them on some 4th down luck. Also missing is that the refs gifted Bama a TD last night by not reviewing that catch at the end of the first half. That's struggling more than a 9 point road win against Florida and 10 point neutral field win against a ranked Louisville. edit: I see that it is in fact not missing, but I think being underemphasized by the ESPN types.
  19. The talking heads really really want an SEC team, some even want two, but the argument is really weak.
  20. If FSU wins, I don't see how it's not Michigan, Washington, FSU, Texas. Ohio has an argument, but a non-conference champion isn't going to win those arguments.
  21. C'mon, FSU, UofM, UGA and UW were all win and you're in. No way one of them gets denied if they win. The controversy starts when Georgia loses this game by less than the points the refs stole from them. Then when FSU loses tonight, it becomes more interesting still. My guess at 6:11pm EST is, in order, Michigan, Washington, Texas, Alabama. I don't know that I would vote that, but that's my guess.
  22. I think this idea is overblown. We have guys that should be able to hit 3's - just too many of them haven't been doing so. MM is (was?) a projected lottery pick and his defining skill as a recruit was his shooting. Cupps was a 44% shooter from 3 his junior year (my 30 seconds of searching couldn't find his senior year numbers) and is famous for competing with LeBron from there. X shot 38% and 37% his two years with us. Ware is certainly vastly better from range than most guys his size, and has hit them pretty successfully for us. Galloway shot 40% last year. That's 5 rotation players that should be more than competent shooters (not including Banks who has actually been a competent shooter in reality his whole time here). If Galloway and MM were hitting 40%, we would rank 97th in the country in percentage. Our roster is built for Galloway and X to be mid-volume, high percentage shooters and MM to be a guy shooting himself into the lottery. If those things were happening, we wouldn't be talking about this.
  23. 14:28 How the hell is that a shooting foul? I'm not sure it's a foul at all, but there could be some contact as he goes across the lane, but that was border line on the floor in the NBA.
  24. There were moving screens all day long. UConn had a lot of them, too.
  25. No it did not. I just watched it again, it was a slow lob that Gunn jogged under, misjudged and then bobbled.
