If we can successfully defend the 3-point line, I think we win by double digits. If we can control the defensive boards and score a lot of points in the paint, I think Miami will miss enough shots for us to squeak by in a fairly high scoring game. That's my prediction: we give up too many shots, but we take care of the glass and get a lot of points out of our big guys.

I don't root for many ex-Hoosiers, but Hunter, Maurice Creek, and sort of Phinisee. Those three are the exceptions.

You would have to think that would be the plan. Though, I've expected to see something like that all season, and haven't always.

Until they showed the replay, I was certain that was TJD with that block. That was good stuff.

He obviously did a lot of good things, but his inability to move laterally on defense and his lack of true shot blocking skill really cost you. Just a little outside shooting would have salvaged the game, but if Edey was more versatile on D, you would have won anyway. Do you just never play zone? I always thought you should have done that some against us instead of just dropping back. Rough night for you. I hate how the commentators want to talk about how FDU might be tough for future teams (they won't be), instead of just acknowledging Purdue had a terrible night and gifted them that win.

We have a first team All-American and a likely lottery pick, yet we have had our share of struggles because the rest of the team, despite the occasional bright moment, can't produce enough to make us great. Now, we stand to lose both of those stars. We think that somehow those same guys are going to be better when they aren't playing with stars? It could happen, there's potential on our roster, but we need to add serious talent if we want next year to be even as good as next year, never mind better. If that means current guys need to leave, then so be it. It looks like there are going to be some legit players in the portal. I hope we go out and get at least 2 and hopefully 3 rotation (top 7) players. In the past it was tough to show a kid the door because he didn't have the same option to leave, and, probably even more importantly, a kid that got booted then couldn't even play somewhere else until he sat out a year. That's a shitty thing to do to a kid. Those things don't apply any longer, so I have no problem moving on from guys that aren't contributing. When a coach says a team is a family, it means you hang out together, you watch out for each other, you can call your teammates or your coach in the middle of the night when things are bad. It doesn't mean that you're going to be playing forever. The team can still be a "family" even if some guys are pushed out.

This is my first time seeing Houston this year, and if I didn't know better I would think I was watching the 12-13 game of the BTT. This isn't close because NK is playing well. Houston just looks awful. I might well eat these words in 20 minutes, but this is a bad game.
