Only passively watching. OSU’s uni’s are super ugly. That’s all I got..

This will sound like blasphemy to some of you. I live in the Southern part of the state bordering KY. And they are, and always will be my most hated team. I have to say, i think I hate Wisconsin more than Purdue. 
 

It was another frustrating game in a run of frustrating games. This always happens when the fanbase realizes we are not very good. The biggest frustration for me: watching another guy on the other team hitting contested jumpers and then hitting the shots they are “supposed” to hit, while watching our guys miss wide-open- potentially-game-breaking shots on a consistent basis. And the bunnies. And the free throws. I wish someone could figure out how drastically different the last few years could have been, had we just been able to hit a few daggers. The world will never know

We’ve been here before. This is going to come down to how IU tries to close out in the 2nd half. 

Only bright side: Logan Duncomb was on pace for a huge game rebounding. 

The frustration level reminds me of the Mike Davis meltdown against KY. The wheels are coming off. A home win against the hated Badgers can stop the bleeding. But what happens if they don’t?

I’m actually pleased with the overall effort. We used to get home cooking like Sparty gets when we were a premier program. Now… not so much. story of this game, one sided calls and 35% shooting. 29% from 3. Not going to win a road game, let alone at Breslin

I’ll be happy if Boo Buie, or someone similar like “Falzone” doesn’t turn into Steph Curry against IU for the evening.

Woody is a smart guy who has been in this game longer than I've been alive, so I'm sure there is a reason.

Excellent point. Some of us said that in the game thread. It’s not a permanent switch or anything, just like putting in a “jumbo package” when you are at the 2 yard line. Makes sense to me. 

I desperately want to make the tournament and I think that is the main goal for this team. It is there to take, but we need to hold serve at home. IL is a bad match up, especially with 27th-year senior Trent Frazier. I feel that Durr and TJD should have played together in this game. Take out Kopp, and move RT to the 3. But what do I know? On to the next one

I have seen few players improve as much in such a short time as  X Johnson. I mean, there could still be some ups and downs, but, if this is an example of the way our staff can develop players, it is a good sign. Now, maybe they will be able to put some time into Lander.

Time to put the hammer down and get the W

I’m not as in favor as going to the deep bench too soon. The starting 5 and main rotation players need to learn to put the hammer down and put people away

IU looks rested. I like it

My last thoughts on this one:

Besides the disappointing loss and the lack of over all energy, I also found the much-ballyhooed 1987 throwback uniforms not much different than what they are wearing usually. I was around in ‘87 and do not recall an Adidas logo around the collar. I’m unimpressed.
