It takes every ounce of integrity I have not to vandalize a car with Indiana plates that has UK crap on it.  It's very, very hard.

A few years ago I did walk up to a co-worker who had the UK crap on her car and said "I just came from the parking lot and it looked like someone vandalized your car"

After she panicked and settled down enough to ask me what was done to it, I told her that someone stuck a UK bumper sticker on it.

    She didn't laugh.

The amount of UK personalized plates I see in the New Albany area probably outpaces IU ones. I’d personally like to see them out law Indiana Plates with references to out of state schools, lol. That, and getting rid of daylight savings time would be bipartisan issues we could all get behind!!

  2. I understand the hatred for Purdue, and I get it. I hate them…. But not with the everlasting hatred, burning with the heat of 1000 suns, as many of us living in the Southern part of the state who have to deal UK fans hate. There is nothing worse than seeing Indiana license plate with KY frames, or even KY slogans. I was behind a car on I265 that had Indiana plates that just said “Cayuts”. Not sure about those in Evansville area, but those in the Louisville metro have to deal with UK constantly. Since IU has been mediocre at best for 20 years, and KY has been a winner, many young people wear KY gear. My neighbor across the street flies a big blue flag in his yard.Greentree Mall in Clarksville had a store called Kentucky Korner, and very little IU gear is sold in our malls/stores. And there have been plenty reasons to hate them more  over the years;

    Also 1975

    Joe B Hall

    Racist Adolph Rupp

Jim Masters, James Blackmon, and many other Indiana- born players who went there

    Alford’s charity poster suspension

    Cal

Cal refusing to play is anymore

the 99-65 debacle when UK could have won by 80 points

the arrogant dismissal of it as no longer a rivalry

    “Casual Gamer Reed”

    Ashley Judd

    much more lol

  3. I hope everyone around the country takes notice of all these schools winning games this year with less than “5 Star” talent. Over and over again this weekend, I have seen guys hit pressure shots, and make big plays. While the more talented teams get out hustled and shoot brick after brick.  Heart and BBIQ matter a lot in the Dance.

  4. Davison gets that call 99% of the time in league games.( don’t feel sorry for him at all) Don’t know how i feel about B1G flaming out. Maybe, someone should re evaluate the way they are allowed to beat on each other during the brutal 20 game season?

  5. Assembly Call guys are pretty good and stay above the board most of the time, even when DD picked a fight with them. I like listening immediately after IU games win or lose. I think DD is a little arrogant to think that those of us who never played or coached D-1 college ball don’t have the right to opine about basketball. After all, that’s the beauty of being a Hoosier; the game is an intrinsic part of growing up here- most of us have played the game in some capacity and we as a fan base know more collectively than most other states. At least that’s how we all feel.

DD tries his best to rattle the locals, especially now that he is nationally syndicated. He is also a grudge holder. He calls Romeo Langford “shoe guy”, but the reality is, that he is mad because New Albany beat his team in the 1980 final four, and his guy missed a free throw that would have won. He obviously is bitter about not being the successor to Bob Knight, and takes shots at IU every chance he gets. I think he is close to crossing the line by picking a fight with XJ on Twitter. As a more Distinguished older gentleman, he should be careful that he is calling out college kids thru National media outlets. Could get ugly if he doesn’t keep it cool. As someone esle said, I would prefer Assembly Call to his show any day.

  6. Watching Bohannon cry during the presser is almost worth thIs potential loss..

But honestly, B1G goes to 20 game season, and beat up on each other, and flame out in the tournament is a pattern.
It may be harder to stick so many teams in future seasons.
If IU doesn’t make it, 3 B1G teams will be gone before the Friday games.

  7. Happy that we won. Relieved would be closer to the truth. I think we are getting close to the ceiling for this team. We all know how well they CAN play, but so often this season, for whatever reason, they don’t reach that level. A lot of things have been accomplished, and I am grateful. I would love to beat St Mary’s, and this team can do it. But if tonight’s version of IU shows up, it won’t happen. From this point on, we are definitely playing with house money.

  8. I think there’s a lot to be said for the guys being tired at the end of the game. This was not the same kind of melt down that we saw during February. Galloway was gassed. So was Race. Galloway was out 6 games and then tried to play 3 in 3 days. Could have used JG in this one. Proud of the improvement I saw this year. Few players have grown on me like XJ has. I hope for future seasons, we can eliminate so many “what ifs”; there were so many this year. Seriously could have single digit losses. This is another game we should have won, but it feels like the corner has been turned. Hopefully, we’ll look back on this run as the time we climbed back into the elite. Still ups and downs to go, but maybe we’ll get there. I have more faith now than I did just a week ago. Let’s go snag a couple in the Dance, and finish laying the foundation. Go IU!!
