I think the Colts still want Ryan and then to draft a QB. This is the smartest course of action to me as well if they can pull it off.

There is interest in Ya going with Payne to U of L. That’s what’s not an assumption. There’s still a chance he won’t but the discussions will take place between the two sides.

More than an assumption. Payne is who Ya considers his mentor in coaching and they go way back. Ya wouldn’t be at IU if it wasn’t for Payne.

Some of it was stuff added because of Whitman. That’s a fact.

He has Woodson’s ear on a lot of things. When the offense got more movement late in the year that was Whitman’s doing as were some sets and other wrinkles that were put in on offense. He just doesn’t want to do the day to day stuff or he’d already have day to day role.

If Ya leaves then the first name I’d look at would be promoting Brian Walsh.

Banks is already signed for starters. Ya just got Indiana in the door with his connections. Woody and the rest of the staff sold them on the school.

Woody is also going to have some tough conversations coming up with a few players.

DD lives rent free in way to many peoples heads. He’s lived Indiana basketball for longer than just about anyone at level that most people couldn’t even imagine. He’s grown frustrated over the years with the amount of players that haven’t played for the university and more about themselves or just didn’t seem to care about winning. Does he go about things the right way all the time? No, but he’s given more of his adult life to the basketball program than a lot of people and yet people like to say he’s bitter. Seeing Indiana good just means more to him. I’ve seen it with other people at other levels of athletics many times.

Whether he’s your 1 or 2 you’ve got to have a player of similar abilities but probably some different skill sets to compliment him. I understand building through the draft and this is deep WR class but you never know how the draft will fall and sometimes that backfires. Some of the TE and receiver contracts have been rather reasonable but yet it sounds like the Colts haven’t really targeted them.

Chris Ballard loves sitting on his cap space. I think he thinks having the most cap space available wins games as mush as having talented players on the field.

The player to be named later it the Reds deal from yesterday is going to be one of about 5 players. The M’s have given the Reds a list of about 5 players that they can scout and evaluate and then pick which one they want. They have 2 months to decide who they are going to choose but could pick at any time between now and then.

The Reds just traded Winker and Suarez to the Mariners. I’m shocked and speechless.
