I’m expecting more news to come out this week about players connected to IU. Things will get kicked off with Walker’s visit tomorrow.
Hopefully you mean just players coming, not going. Unless something major changes, seems our departures are done.

We have got to get a coach who doesn't have to rely on them just to be competitive.
You aren't happy with Painter?

I don't think he has earned the right to use "we". What has he done?
He hasn't played a game yet. Hasn't even signed yet.
He seems entitled, like everything should be handed to him.
He is using "we" like he is already up there with TJD, Oladipo, Calbert etc.
Not liking this at all.

I’m hoping someone works with him or he gets his own shooting coach in offseason because even if he improves 2-3% from 3 that’s huge for us.
His shot is very good, and as he got comfortable, it became excellent
He is also fairly good at getting offensive rebounds and powering back up.
To me, it's all about ball handling. Mac takes more than a dribble or two and I get really anxious.
If he can improve his ball handling, and his ability to drive the ball, I think that's where he becomes next level.
That 2-3% improvement you mention should come from just being more experienced, relaxed and confident.

I once owned a shirt that said “Purdue: keeping fat chicks out of IU since 18xx”
20 years of wisdom later, I’ve learned there are exceptions to every rule.
So a fat chick got into IU?

I really hope Mac just freaking blows up next year. For him, and for the program.
I just get the feeling the 1st part of last year (on and off the court) was such a struggle. Maybe a bigger transition than he was ready for.
But man, he just slowly got better and better. You can see just how good he can become.
Good Luck Mac, let's freaking gooooo!!!!

Zona just got completely out coached. Way to represent the Hoosier state and old DePauw coach Brownell
I have never been impressed with Arizona's coach, and he seems like a bit of a jacka$$.
I get the stone in glass house as an IU fan, but that guy really has under performed in my opinion.
Very Calipari like. Yuck.

We had a top 20 player just leave for the draft. So, a good start adding a quality player, but he’s not KW and he doesn’t shoot the 3 for a high percentage. Which means we’re not as good, definitely not better than we were last year… yet. So a start, but a LOT more needs to be done. So worth being excited about? Yes. But doesn’t quite move the needle much for me yet. Sticking to my comment. 👍
You are not allowed to stick to you comment because I presented an opposing viewpoint.
It's in HSN bylaws. Section 62, paragraph 7. Sorry.

In all honesty, unless we snag some portal “shooters” Tucker doesn’t move the needle much. We need Tucker plus a few more.
Top 20 level player absolutely moves the needle. If your point is this has to be a starting point, I agree. But I disagree that this level of talent doesn't move the needle.

My guts says he comes back, But i wouldn't be surprised if he decided to do something else. He is taking longer than the other to announce his intentions, which is his right. I am sure he is talking through what it would mean to transfer, get feedback from the Pros and how it would impact him staying. Seems like a smart kid. Was very good as a freshman and i assume will be even better next year as he matures, learns and develops more skills. Is he a 3 or a 4 is a big question for him to determine what he wants to do. I really like the kid and hope he comes back.
I am.with you as far as being a little curious why he has taken longer than most to announce his intentions. That definitely sticks in the back of my mind.
I don't see him transferring tho. I don't see the benefit to him in doing that.
I think it has to be professional (which I think would be a mistake) or he returns to IU.
I would like to humbly cast my vote for returning to IU. 😁

I get it. But it comes off as disrespectful. We don't know exactly what happened. But what has come out shows Mac may have been as much as a victim as anyrhing, and then handled it poorly.
But he was 18, just moved away from home and had what appears to be a pretty truanatic experience occur. For adults to refer to him by a nickname referencing that episode just makes me a little uneasy.
It's not endearing, it's a cheap jab at a kid many many months after the fact. Just my opinion.

Are you ever gonna stop disrespectfully calling him taco? I mean, it's kinda been a while.
